I have a real thing for tea pots. I think I will end up collecting them. I absolutely love this- awesome shapes and lines. I love how it looks like it is wobbling, it gives them impression of movement.

Thank you and thanks for the fave! I also love teapots. I have a small collection started. I collect vintage odd teapots, plus hand made teapots.

I also have a little collection of tea pots. I have a few different types like a chinese tea set.
Hmmm that reminds me, the markets are on in my town today and there is a stall that always has these beautiful japanese tea and sake sets. Maybe I should trip over and exchange some money for one while my boyfriend isn't looking

I ended up getting one. Its a little teap pot for green tea with five japanese style cups. They have little cherry blossoms on them. I might take a pic and upload it to my scraps to show you!

Beautiful crazy shapes And five feet tall, what if somebody knocked it over and all the hard work down the drain, I hope that won't happen

thank you! Actually, it made it all the way through only to have me tip it over and break it while photographing it. But no worries. It was actually a prototype. The next teapot tower is way better and more stable.

milbisous In reply to ChaosRuby [2006-10-28 17:07:52 +0000 UTC]
Prototype or not, still that was hard work. However yo've got a good attitude, no use crying over spilt milk and that's great

I was definitly not pleased. I would have been more upset if I hadnt taken pictures of it before it broke though. Ceramics is funny like that. It can last for thousands of year, a recognizable hallmark proving civilization, or it can break. Just like that. lol

Of course it was the good thing that you had taken a good shot of it, to now have a souvenir of your hard work! Yeah with ceramics, there are so many tales like with glazing also

Shoot, I have way more skills than that. I can tie my shoes and blow my nose too. Each teapot is fuctional, but in the world of sculpture that is considered a fault. lol

Thank you so much! Oh yes, I do sell them. They are easier to sell than anything else I make. I sell them in the Los Angeles area. I also could ship any piece that I have posted if I still have it, but most the teapots are gone.
