Sorry about the copious watermarks. They aren't going anywhere. Don't ask. I am SO proud of this project so far, and would hate to see any part of this turn up somewhere else.

Day three of March Break, and page three for my guide! Yay momentum!
Snatter Goblins were topping my poll (which if you'd like to vote on future pages... can be found here: chaotica-i.deviantart.com/jour… ). I was SERIOUSLY concerned with painting a snatter goblin, seeing as they are in the film for all of eight seconds... there really isn't a clear shot of them at all, and what you can see isn't exactly awesome. I HATE the look of their clothing. It's madness! I had to improvise most of it from the backside silhouette of one of these guys from the film. There was also NO image of their face... so I totally invented that. I just started shading randomly, and refining until I liked it. Although I'm relatively pleased with the face, there are still things about the goblin that I really am not crazy about. But, I wanted to keep it as close to what was seen on film as possible.

I wish I could sell it... but I don't own the copyright. Maybe someday I could get it published by the Jim Henson company. It's ridiculously unlikely, but I can dream.

Love the banner! I don't know how many times I played that part of the movie back to work out what they were shouting.
Also I wouldn't have known you basically made up the face if I hadn't read the description. They're very recognizable. I think it's the hideous red outfit...

Thank you! It was a bit difficult to hear what they were saying... at one point I was convinced they were swearing and was shocked that such language would make it onto a children's movie
I'm glad to hear that! It was a bit rough coming up with something without any kind of reference... wanted to keep it true enough in style to the other goblins and Brian Froud's work
