Painted in Photoshop CS5, using the film as reference.
About 10 hours of work.

Sorry about the copious watermarks. They aren't going anywhere. Don't ask. I am SO proud of this project so far, and would hate to see any part of this turn up somewhere else.
Please note that I don't have time to say "thank you" for every favourite, but I appreciate them all nonetheless! Thank you all for your support!!!
Warning... rant... warning...
Wow... the last 24 hours have been STRESSFUL!!! I literally finished working on this page, which took at least ten hours. I shut off my laptop to move it upstairs, and when I tried to boot it up again, blue screen of death. Windows died. Or something like that. The computer is totally shot. My amazing computer guy responded fantastically quickly, and although the laptop may or may not be saved, I've been able to retrieve my files. Such a relief!!! Got about 3 hours of sleep, because I spent the entire night thinking about all the things that weren't backed up. Perfectly good laptop one minute, doorstop the next. Lesson learned... backup everything at all times. Given that I currently have no computer capable of running CS5, I may or may not get any new pages done this week... hoping CS4 on my old laptop will do, because a week without painting just might drive me insane!
Rant over haha
About the painting... had a rough go, and large sections are painted over a screencap. That'll teach me never to paint a bog again. Still haven't done a do-over for the map, but I'll get to it.

The map in the corner at the moment is just one that Brian Froud created as concept art. I'll be doing a full-size map at some point, somewhat based on his map, and based on the action of the film as well. Not sure when I'll get around to it though

Should be "at all costs" on the Helpful Hints and "Many species utilize these mosses AS their primary source of nourishment" on Bog Mosses

Thanks! I actually posted this without much editing, because my computer died, and this was salvaged from the hard drive by my amazing computer guy. This was just the draft that I saved... the photoshop file is around, but the computer that ran photoshop isn't functional (pretty much a doorstop at the moment)... so I'll have to fix them sometime down the line.
