This is cool ben - in one sense it's very you with the symmetry and contemplation blah blah blah but its so nice to see a shot where everything feels natural and real. The colours are so fresh that I feel like I'm back there, on that tandem with you, screaming everytime you decided to cycle too close to a pothole!! (I can't believe you shot this when we were at millport and I didn't even have a bloody camera with me!!)
The exposure is gorgeously balanced too and it looks like it was done pre-post production!!

i adore the space, the negative space, the composition, the sky, everything.
its such a sad, yet beautiful image. the sun makes it happier tho. i think if it were darker, it would have a more lonely sad feel. this is more of a serene feeling.
i absolutley love the wind in her hair, one of the best bits.

Love the powerfully dramatic looking sky. It makes her seem so small and insignificant. Like any moment, it will overtake her and make her nothing at all. Composition is awesome. Great piece Ben. As usual.

you know that comment reminded me of a movie.. The Forgotten with....ahhhh with.....can't remember her name - she has blonde/ginger hair and played Clarice in Hannibal i think it was - Jodie Fosters replacement anyway. well if you havent seen it, in the movie people are scooped up by nothing at all and whisked away into the sky. very eerie stuff... but i'm not saying you comments eerie...because your not an eerie person... but you get my drift. thanks Laura, so very kind of you.

ah such nice imagery you have given me. i always like looking at people who draw, as someone who is completly and utterly useless at drawing its extremely fascinating how the artist can start to sketch then slowly the form of the image comes out. unlike photography for me the real art in drawing is the creation of it - not the final product. thanks my friend for your words.

thanks very much mate! it was taken on the little island of Cumbrie. I got the train to a place called Largs, then the ferry across to the island. in the only town there (called Millport) we hired out bikes and cylced round the island in 2 hours. was a little gusty as you can see but fun overall. thanks again my friend.
