wow it looks so menacing and futuristic - the sky look like the earth is about to wipe everything out as mankind have gone that bit too far, illustrated by the futuristic building with the sun just creeping up onto it

Nice!

This is my favorite. Flat out the most beautiful of the one's you've submitted so far. And that's saying alot considering how stunning they are. I love the light and the colors and mood and everything. It's soothing to look at and at the same time it makes me feel anxious. Like..I'm waiting on something to happen. Something beautiful and exciting. Maybe it's the way the sun hits the bottom of the frame. I dunno. But whatever it is, keep doing it.

ahh such lovely words again Laura, its great how you don't just say you like it, although there is never anything wrong with that at all but you always delve that little bit deeper to justify the reasoning. which is fabby i love the wee emote as well, never seen that one before. thankyou again for the favourite and the kind words. i'm away to get a drink before a still life shot. take care as always. Ben.

thankyou very much, if only us as photographers had some sort of weather controller....but then again, would we want that ability? i don't think i would now that i think about it.

such lovely words Holly and i really do deeply apprieciate them. going back to an earlier conversation we had about maturing as a photographer, it's funny when you take a picture and you like it, thats the end of the story, but as time goes by you start to wonder how broad the spectrum is for liking that picture, some people automatically like it, or it takes others a few views or it can be drastically disliked. I watched a video about the british photographer Martin Parr, and it was extremely interesting how he takes the most mundane captures but as a whole these little images are recording the history that we are living. If you are not familiar with him i suggest you have a small look. He seems to have the total black and white attitude for or against him and its just nice to think about the difference in taste. Anyway, back to the point. thankyou Holly.

Excellent. I love the lighting here, and the simplicity of this piece is just fantastic; it still retains a great deal of character.

Look like solar panels. I can't decide if the angle you shot it at is right or if I should tilt my head to the left and see the rooftop of something. Either way, it's excellent. The variations in light is great.

chapterone In reply to GossamerWings [2005-01-03 20:41:27 +0000 UTC]

Thankyou my friend. I'm very happy that you like it even if it makes you think about tilting your head, and i agree with you on the solar panels....we have brand new solar powered parking meters popping up everywhere here now.... should be better because we get hardly any sun...i may get away with some dodgy parking in the future....hopefully.

woah, it looks like some building where a bad guy from the year 3050 should be hanging out. i love the colours. very nice.

chapterone In reply to samurai-jenn [2005-01-03 20:35:07 +0000 UTC]

haha, i never saw this building in that way before but yup, now you mention it, i agree. With him just standing gazing out the window, plotting the downfall of someone who doesn't deserve it, then bursting into a bout of mad laughter. Then kicking a cat.
