It was once said that a human being is just a featherless bird, a genius man manned DiogenesΒ presented a feathrless chicken to a class and said "This is a human being without a doubt." in a jokey kind of manner, clearly this SCP is kind of a play of that idea of featherless chickens being close to human beings.

Main thing about them is that there easy to kill but everyone that dies will prouduce an egg.
The egg can not be destroyed no matter what and will quickly spawn a new one.
There's pretty much no way they can go exstinct.
