TLK's Malka Progressive Coloring Video: [link]I wish Malka was explored more in cannon after works of Disney. Would have been interesting to see what his pride was like and such.
Anywho the video is result of me getting to know some new software I'll be using for my students and tutorials. It shows the progression of me coloring Malka. For some reason I still think this isn't drawn right. :/

Edit: ChipChap on TLKFAA pointed out that he actually has a lighter brown tuff tail color. It was a quick fix so I went a head and updated the image with the corrections.

Awesome drawing! so cute, may i use this for a short reference? im kinda stuck on a drawing where i got the neck and shoulders but can't get the head right, its for one of my Oc's, his cub version, just the head part as a reference if that is ok with you? i cant seem to find any other suitable ones than this...

yeah sure, I'm fine if you use it as a practice study. ^^ May I recommend doing studies and drawing upside down or flipping the image? helped me a lot when I was learning how to draw something new. Still do it actually.

oh yes, and definitely try the magic want on ps
you can color the pic and shade in less than an hour
and when toning a picture lets say from white to black, use the magic wand to select what you want to tone and gradient tool to tone it

Darling this is great, but I think you waste alot of time coloring cub manually. I see you use the Corel Painter, right? Corel Painter is great programm for creating sketches and linearts but PS is more optimal for coloring, I mean you can color your pic in 5 mins using magic wand tool... I always use two progs - painter and PS
But anyway, its exellent job!

XD doh nvm, I just tried that magic wand tool on the outside of the line art for the fil on the base color. while it dose a pretty good job of filling I still had to go around and do clean up.... perhaps I just need to work with it more. thanks for the suggestion. ^_^

Gosh, I use old versions xD But really, try out magic wand tool. There many great tutorials around here
