Yay! I finally got sick and tired of pushing myself to improve this, and procrastinating with learning how to use masks, so I finally threw together a crap-tastic (though slightly improved) tree, and experimented with making a simple mask to suit my purpose.
This, is the result.

So here you have little Kirara posing for the camera with a nice pretty little mountain and tree in the background, with big Kirara faded in there as a reminder that Kirara's cute harmless looks can be a bit decieving.
Actually, my main reason for having big Kirara faded like that is because I really don't like the back half of her. I had originally contemplated having her in a fierce snarl, but that didn't end up happening.

This started out as a simple drawing of small and big Kirara on seperate pieces of paper. I merged them together as seperate layers in the computer, and the background is completely done via Paintshop.
While I'm very pleased with the mountain in the background, the grass is mediocre, and the tree is downright bad. Yuck.
I do like how little Kirara came out, as well as the head and main of big Kirara.

It's not bad. I have the urge to go and cut down that stupid tree, but that would leave the picture unbalanced and bare. Ah well.

Inuyasha and its characters do NOT belong to me.
