Description
I couldn’t very well do all these Throne of Glass portraits without drawing my precious babies Rhys & Feyre (from S.J.Maas A Court of Mist & Fury) again!
Rhys is still fucking impossibly perfect to actually DRAW. One day I’ll get you right, Rhys. ONE DAY.

Oh yeah, Rhys's character and appearance features are too complex to picture with imagination, let alone paper/digital canvas. (But this one seems damn PERFECT to me!) However, it doesn't make us adore him less! <3
By the way, your ToG-ACOTAR sketches helped me work out my own paper drawing basics, since I find our depiction styles more or less alike

Ok, so here's some utterly random and unnecessary word vomit for ya...
I've been following your art journey for a bagillion years now. I keep track of most of your online profiles... I'm not crazy, I swear, I just really like your art *cries*. So one day I see this gorgeous new art of yours and apparently it's fanart for this book series I've never heard of. The art is gorgeous and your comment totally gets me interested so I get book numero uno. I devour it in about 5 days (a record for me because I'm a slow reader plus, you know, life) and I'm like: " *shivers* Well, shit! *continues shivering* I need to see what happens next." I get book numero dos, and fuck me sideways it ruins me... RUIIIIINNNssss meee... just like you said in your comment on the first fanart. Like... how!? What is life??
And now, five days after finishing book no.2, I'm sitting here with a shriveled fleshy mass where my heart used to be and a void I have to wait, what... a year? to refill and once again become the human being I once was.
So, curse you Charlie Bowater... and thank you for ruining my life

Haha, welcome to the shrivelled heart club! I'm glad you enjoyed them
If you need something to fill the void, and to destroy yourself with feels - Sarah's Throne of Glass series is equally epic.

Wow! way to be a terribly rude troll!!! Charlie's paintings are the most beautiful ever and her female and male characters are both unique and beautiful. The also resemble how she looks which is why its her art style. All mature artists have an art style. You wouldn't know that since you aren't one. But that in no way gives you the right to insult anyones art! Fetish? You don't even know what that means! Go waste your time somewhere else. No one needs your rude opinions . If you can't say anything nice or critique constructively then just shut up! I'm sorry Charlie that you have to tolerate such scums!

The jawline and cheekbones are overkill.
Only men should have such sharp features.

That's super rude to say, both to the artist and just in general. Not everyone needs to meet your personal preferences. There are plenty of stunning women with strong features. Feyre looks beautiful in this, the artist did a fantastic job.

PoutySprouts In reply to fenvari [2016-07-05 15:31:15 +0000 UTC]
No, they don't. And it's not about my "personal" standards.
Softness and sharpness is like yin and yang, female and male.
The emblem of femininity is a soft, nurturing appearance, and should be the counter opposite to the males... Think of it this way; does it make any sense for a woman to have a face so sharp, they it looks like it would slit the throat of her first born whenever she leans to give it a kiss?

fenvari In reply to PoutySprouts [2016-07-05 16:02:09 +0000 UTC]
1. No. That is a very personal opinion, that many people do not share with you. It's actually rather limiting to women, and you have no right to expect people or artists' works to conform to your views.
2. Regardless, there is NO reason to leave such a rude comment to an artist.
3. This is not the place to have this discussion. This is a place to appreciate this artist's work. If you don't have anything positive to comment, please stop.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
PoutySprouts In reply to fenvari [2016-07-05 16:10:24 +0000 UTC]
No, it's not. Why do you think soft features are more appreciated on women, than on men? Because they're female biased. It's no more limiting to women than it is to men. You can't resemble a nurturing figure, and have the face of a chainsaw at the same time.

It's obvious you're trolling. Is this why you have all the comments on your own art disabled? Because you don't want people to troll you like you troll others?
It's obvious you don't actually believe anything you're writing, cause you're a big fan of Stevens Universe, which is all about throwing gender roles out the window. Pearl has a pointy, "manly" nose as you'd call it, yet that doesn't stop you from faving a bunch of art of her.
Stop wasting your time.

PoutySprouts In reply to norree [2016-07-05 16:05:36 +0000 UTC]
No, it's because they wouldn't get any comments anyways, so having an open comment section is just ugly, LOL. I like Steven Universe because it's unique; so it makes things interesting. Kind of like watching maybe a Gorey thriller movie, but without appreciating gore in an "aesthetic" sense.
I will admit, Pearl has a pointy nose, and she's ugly as hell sometimes. But the character it's self is funny. I don't view her as a beauty icon.
Most SU art in my gallery is favored due to the coloring of it, tbh. Not the shapes of their features.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
norree In reply to PoutySprouts [2016-07-05 16:10:11 +0000 UTC]
Your reasoning for liking Stevens Universe says it all--you don't judge those characters on their appearances, so why judge any other characters? It's a personality that makes someone beautiful. Not sure why you're lashing out at other artists for their character interpretations, it's just embarassing and petty. Clearly you have some issues with beauty standards, but bashing people on the internet won't change a thing.

PoutySprouts In reply to norree [2016-07-05 16:14:14 +0000 UTC]
I never judge her characters on a personal level, so don't start farting out strawmen in your little tirade. Your idiocy is already peaking in.
I asked her a simple question, because masculine knife shaped faces are a commonality among her work. It's not just one character (like pearl). As a matter of fact, if all SU characters were as sharp and androgynous as Pearl, and Rebecca Sugar was on here, I'd probably ask her the same question I asked Charlie. You comparisons, and the failed rationality you try to derive from them are laughable.

Drawing faces in a certain way isn't a fetish, it's called a style.
I'm not going to continue this argument, it's just going to go in circles. We disagree, that's life.
