Description
This series of photographs was shot during a outdoor festival near my town.The dancers in this series reflect my belief that belly dancers should have bellies.
This is not intended be a slam against thinner belly dancers. If you like them that's great. I just prefer the plus variety.

In photos like this I try to but in this case the dancer was on a stage and I was shooting from below. The action was very fast so I didn't always get a full body shot.

look into the beginning of belly dancing.. this is not like it had started off. before the dancers would lie on a "couch" and make their belly dance.. nothing else. only a few such belly dancers are left nowadays. its abit sad to see all these cultural highilights loose their value, but belly dancing now is impressive as well.

I think that's why it's called bellydancing.
I think skinny chicks belong in strip clubs. :B
But, that's just me.

Thanks again. By the way I just saw the act schedules for our local arts festival and the group she dances with is appearing again. I am hoping to be in attendance and also hopeing she will be there again. I would love to shoot with her privately but so far have not able to do so.
