Thanks, and if you hurry to your local comic shop you probably still can. Or you could get it digitally here: [link]

Very nice cover! How long can IDW use Amy and Rory anyway? I heard they have to keep using the current Doctor and Companion since they did 'The Forgotten', which is a tad unfair as I think mini-series with Classic Doctor and Companion sets - The First Doctor, Susan, Ian and Barbara for example - would be awesome, especially for the 50th Anniversary!

I can't speak too much to that because I only know what I've been told, but it looks like we'll be using Amy and Rory for quite awhile longer yet.
The BBC has pressed for current Who to be the focus of the comics even before The Forgotten, and more so afterwards. However, they used to seem resistant to crossovers and now there is the Star Trek: TNG/ Doctor Who crossover, so who knows. Its possible there will be plenty more exciting things cropping up over the next year or so.

Good to hear, wouldn't want to lose them from the comics just yet. I love all the various Doctors and their companions so reading The Forgotten was a lovely treat. I did hear a rumour that before the current TNG/DW crossover (which is looking awesome so far, two of my fav fandoms together) IDW had tried to get the BBC to do a crossover between their Star Trek: Assignment Earth series (with Gary Stevens) and the Third Doctor era (ie. Liz Shaw, Jo Grant, UNIT etc) but it got turned down. Not sure how true that is but anyway.
Anyway, looking forwards to more Who Goodness regardless! I'm hoping that if the BBC are less hesitant now with crossovers they can do ones with other IDW properties like Transformers or Godzilla. Maybe even one with Marvel or DC - I'd love to see Doctor Who and Captain Britain together.

I hadn't heard that rumor, but from what I know of past IDW/BBC interactions, I seriously doubt there's anything to it. Though, its a cool idea.
I'm told what prompted the TNG/DW crossover was because the BBC execs were impressed with the Trek/Legion of Superheroes crossover at the 2011 SDCC and this opened the door to a DW crossover. I have hopes there will be more, but only time will tell.
I don't know if there's a chance for a cross publisher one, but way back in the day the 7th Doc did meet Death's Head (a Marvel character), and we did reprint that story in DW Classics a few years back.

Thanks, I liked the sound of it too, since I did love that mini series at the time and the Third Doctor is in many respects my favourite, though I'm also very fond of Five and Ten as well.
Yes, I picked that up lately, I was very impressed despite not being entirely up on the Legion continuity and the Spock and Brainiac 5 stuff in particular I loved. Same with the Infestation hardcover, though my GI Joe and Classic Transformers knowledge is woefully pitiful. (On a slightly unrelated note I love the recent announcement about have Mars Attacks crossover with stuff like Popeye and Zombies vs Robots!)
Ohhhh, I didn't know about that one! I'll try and track that down in the Classics lineup.

It is a good issue. Andy Diggle wrote it, and he's quite good with Doctor Who. I've seen his pitch for this entire series, I won't spoil it, but DAMN!
