Here's a recreation of a classic Dave Gibbons cover from the 80s. Looking at it now I'm thinking I should have put a containment line around the figures so that they would look more solid. I'll be keeping that in mind for the next one.Related content

Looks really nice man. I agree with you on the containment line comment. The character in the bg is pushed back well because of how you dropped the black lineart a bit. The head in the foreground seem nice and close, but his jacket looks further away because it doesn't have the same strong black as the head.

Yeah, these are learning experiences for me. I'm recreating these from the old 80s printings of them because the line art was never archived. But I think everyone of these get better from the last and by the time I get to the last one hopefully I'll have the hang of it.
