My J.K.Rowling Drawing

I’ve finally drawn her!! This drawing has been a long time coming, J.K.Rowling was a HUGE part of my childhood, growing up with Harry Potter to read and then experiencing the movies growing up was something I was lucky enough to experience with a lot of Potterheads. This woman means a lot to a whole bunch of people and she just keeps on giving, keeping some form of the Harry Potter universe alive with her new Fantastic Beasts (drawings will come soon). When I came to planning this drawing, I didn’t just want to draw a standard pencil portrait of her, I wanted other ‘things’ incorporated into this composition that meant something to us Potterheads and also related massively to her. So I did a little photoshoot with my very old and yellowing Deathly Hallows book, and of course I had to decide which wand I wanted in this piece but it seemed fitting to add the Elder Wand since it ties both Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts together. The Golden Snitch just framed her beautifully and I also love the saying on the Snitch as well which I very carefully wrote on “I Open At The Close” And lastly to finish this drawing off, I added a quote that means so much to us as a fandom and was spoken by Rowling herself! I have loved drawing this simple design, I could have gone crazy with adding too it, but I felt what I added was more than enough to symbolise her greatness as an author.
