YES!!! I succeded in uploading it) I tried so many times, but the DA either wasn't fast enough or just because of file size didn't want to submit it)

Anyway, this is dedicated to everybody who has ever asked me to make an enchantix wings' tutorial

-------------------------
Мля, у меня таки получилось это загрузить Раза с ...надцатого Надеюсь, кому-то это окажется полезным) Для русскоговорящих думаю завтра в журнале написать текстовую русскую версию, ну на всякий случай.

How can I sketch Winx Enchantix wings?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Charming--Primrose In reply to Darkstarr86 [2013-02-04 19:38:24 +0000 UTC]

*sorry for te late reply *

What I usually do is randomly scratching the paper until getting something that would work as wing. You can also draw an extremly simple shape and then add swirls, curves or alter the contours as you want :3

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Charming--Primrose In reply to CharmedWings [2012-08-14 18:54:55 +0000 UTC]

If I remember correctly the pattern was from Photoshop itself...

CharmedWings In reply to Charming--Primrose [2012-08-14 18:59:31 +0000 UTC]

OK, I see it. Thanks! But in Photoshop it is in black&white, so I didn't recognize it

Enchantedflower In reply to CharmedWings [2013-08-14 10:41:04 +0000 UTC]

What section was it filed under? I must be blind or something... It is all I need to finish a design I'm working on.

Charming--Primrose In reply to CharmedWings [2012-08-14 19:34:22 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, that makes it hard to find...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CharmedWings In reply to Charming--Primrose [2012-08-14 19:37:19 +0000 UTC]

So, you colored it yourself or do you have a colored pattern already in PS? Because you don't show that in your tutorial.
P.S.: I now how to color it, so you don't have to explain. I'm just wondering..

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Charming--Primrose In reply to CharmedWings [2012-08-14 19:45:46 +0000 UTC]

I don't remember exactly what I did but I guess I just used an 'overlay' mode on the pattern. Then it becomes the color you need. For example, your wings are green and when you use overlay mode on pattern it becomes green as well.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AlianaFireheart In reply to SweetKitty14 [2012-02-25 17:37:10 +0000 UTC]

Yes, you can. You'll need to download and install the Layer Effects plugin, but it converts over well. (I know because I was able to do it in GiMP for my fairy ^^)
