Description
Ok, I dont know... This began reminding me more and more of the movie, The Thing, as i was drawing it. This wasnt inspired from the thing, it just so happens that it reminds me a lot of the thing. Anyways, who wouldnt want to pass up a nice drawing of a well fed alien? Also, i'd like to know if this should have a mature content warning. I dont have kids so i wouldnt know whats appropriate and whats not.(prismacolor pencils, photoshop. 23 hours)

acid stays in your spine and when you crack your back it goes into your system again maybe it's a permanent outlook of what you see.

Yeah if you want to believe that stuff sure. In all honesty I've been creating weird creatures since grade school so I doubt that really had an effect on my mental state.

hah well maybe it's just your mentality then.

Yep, so on that note I'm going to quote the great master of weird, Salvador Dali by saying, "I don't do drugs, I am drugs".

Yeah I'm thinking of redrawing this. I made this 3 years ago and well, now that I look at it again there are a ridiculous amounts of errors.

errors?
everyone gets better the longer they draw
but there are no errors that I see
I'm stoked to see the new version though, if you decide to draw it

It will probably be a digital version. I can't afford to spend money on a new colored pencil set. Prismacolors have gone up in price and down in quality, hence why I stopped using them.

I really like the color scheme and of course the alien itself. It looks like something straight out of those old monster movies.. I wouldn't want that in my dreams lol

Can't say it's gorgeous 'cos the beast is so, er, bestial, so I'll just say it's disturbingly gorgeous instead.

Wow... Just.. Wow.. Very nice indeed.
I love the color composition and the overall "wriggly" feel of it. Very kinetic despite being a still image.

This reminds of "Species, the movie"
and also Medusa in some way because the tentacles (like snakes) and the female-like body.
Wicked stuff! XD!

in a world of rust, the oxidised,
stand still and wait to fall,
those who move are sleek and smooth,
the carnivorous kings of all,
the touch of man, long since damned,
their flawed and fragile shell,
despite their plans,and surveyed scans,
were sent screaming to hell,
the world of rust, was filled with dust,
and beasts that roam by night,
the ghosts of man now fill the land,
the monsters won the fight.

I've always wondered what it'd look like if you took the darkest of thoughts, extracted them directly from the mind and decoded them into creatures. Till now.
Dude, this design is one of the most awesomely nasty I've seen today! I love those frenzied tentacled whipping and the way the creature clenches grasps the heart. Something tells me I shouldn't approach it...
Kickass work!

Love this one...I'd say most of your stuff should prob. have a mature content warning...i'd say anything that would make a kid scream is a good judgement
Most kids are wimps i guess...mostly.

Amazing. I think this is your best work, to date. The mood to it is so surreal, and yet gruesome. It's a very distinguished piece and a breath of fresh air in comparison to the other 300 deviations in my inbox. Excellent work!

thanks. I've been using prismacolor pencils for years. They have always been my favorite medium for some reason. They are time consuming especially on huge canvases but they're so much more accurate than paint.
