Nice looking!
It's a shame that Leopard Matte only supports GTK2. :/

The theme ofcourse is Leopard Matte by spliceosome here on DA, you can find it in her gallery. I've just modded it a little.

It's Pinguy Linux 11.04, which is based on Ubuntu Linux 11.04. Nothing else.

ok if i were starting new onto linux i would install pinguy which is based on ubuntu 1104. I want 12.10 ubuntu. How can i use your setup on that, will you make a distro

CharsiBevda In reply to Anarchtic [2012-10-10 05:33:10 +0000 UTC]
This won't work on Ubuntu 12.10 because that will use Gnome Shell 3x. This only works with Gnome 2x, sorry.

What about with gnome-classic in 12.10

You can try it, but I don't know if it'll work. The gnome global-menu-applet may have problems.

the appmenu-indicator works fine in gnome classic!

Have you tried it yourself? gnome globalmenu applet?

ya, check out [link] he has good setup

CharsiBevda In reply to Anarchtic [2012-10-13 06:55:29 +0000 UTC]
Interesting... it's Mate-panel though, not gnome-panel. I think you'll need to use any available fork of the globalmenu applet and it'll work with Gnome 3x classic session.

Also what does that magnifying glass open? Is it like Spotlight in OSX?

CharsiBevda In reply to Dobbie03 [2012-10-07 05:40:40 +0000 UTC]
Yes, i've set it up like Spotlight. It opens Catfish, a search tool that can do system wide searches.

I'm using the icon I found within one of the themes, can't remember exactly which theme exactly.. but it definitely came with one of the themes I downloaded.

I agree with you, thanks for that. Appreciate it.
Man I would love to make my own Ubuntu/Pinguy Spin. Like a real minimal (looking) edition.

hahahaha make Elementary look like Windows 98 in comparision
Sure

CharsiBevda In reply to Dobbie03 [2012-10-08 08:05:50 +0000 UTC]
Oh yeah, that'd be awesome
Elementary looks good, but I'm not fond of their toolbar/toolbar icon choices among other things
Seriously... this might be a pet peeve, but do you think green and huge toolbar icons like back/forward arrows, the ginormous green options gear icon etc, still look cool? That's a throwback to the early 2000s
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Dobbie03 In reply to CharsiBevda [2012-10-08 08:08:22 +0000 UTC]
hahaha
Elementary looks amazing. I don't like the tool bar icons at all either. I prefer the look of the Faience and Faenza toolbar icons. It's pretty much the only reason I use either of those icons.

CharsiBevda In reply to Dobbie03 [2012-10-08 08:16:10 +0000 UTC]
True that
My personal preference is full flat toolbar icons (not flat toolbar itself) that highlight a soft grey on mouse over.
