Ended up with very little time for this particular card, and I very distinctly remember doing most of the work on this while listening to Michelle Payver's Dark Matter straight from start to finish. Β Audiobooks are great for tight deadlines!
I didn't get to spend quite as much time on the background elements as I'd wanted (I think the trees could use another pass or two), but even so this might be my favorite of the pieces I did for Born of the Gods.

This is awesome but can't tell if the character is a giant or not. I think it has more to do with the foliage vs the trees.

The sky is what did it for me in this image. The flavor of the image just makes a card that is kinda lackluster, grab your attention and not let go. Let me say that your art continues to end up being a part of some of my favorite cards in all the more recent sets. Thanks terribly for all your hard work.Β

One of the most-flavoured cards in Theros block, and the drawing does a lot for it... It's a pity the card isn't better. Also, why are all your characters so slim?
