The realism I'm looking at right now is staggering...
the action here is mesmerizing, and the overall detail
is extremely kudos worthy.
My friend, you've managed to bring the past over to us all.
And I want to see much, much more.

What if the Rex is only calling for help?
His back is itchy and he can't reach them with his short arms xD
The arms always throw me off

I heard something about that too. I also saw that they discovered some carvings of dinosaur like creatures by civilizations thousands of years before dinosaurs were discovered.

in a fairly battle even large group of cave mans can,t hunt an adult t-rex.can you draw a friendship between t-rex and them?it is better untill t-rex want to hunt them.ofcourse you,re work is really cool but i think if they be friend it will be better but thanks for this beautiful work.and i think a t-rex can be larger than this.i have an idea for you.can draw a picture of friendship between t-rex and them and a picture that t-rex is protecting them from another animal like pack of wolves or a big bear.ofcourse i like that t-rex be friend with other animals too.thanks.

wow great poses. Dosn't the newest finds indicate that there were indeed humanoids on earth during the dinosaur era?

One of the moast awesome tropes ever: a little, complately normal human versus giant, bloodthirst carnivore. I can even feel the cavemen's determination to survive this fight.

OK.... so like I need to say something here.... 1) this is a damn good piece and I envy you your talent! 2) T.Rex was not a full time scavenger... all carnivores with the exception of Cheetahs will scavenge, the only reason a Cheetah won't is because he can't fight off all the other bigger carnivores at the kill site!!! The only full time scavengers are vultures, the reason why would be because they can cover a very large track of land in a short amount of time in order to find a source of food that is not as abundant as you would think. They fly by using thermals which is a very energy efficient system that doesn't require a lot of food to maintain, a T. Rex would have to run everywhere to cover the ground necessary to find sufficient amount of food to fuel it's Metabolism...
Feathers are not likely to be in an adult T.Rex due it's size, the larger an animal is the harder for it to lose body heat, esp in a tropical environment( a young animal which would be hundreds of time smaller than it's parent would need it to stay warm even in said tropical jungle)... The greater the mass of an object the longer it retains heat and if the object continuously produces heat it's REALLY heard to get rid of said excess heat and feathers are insulating... this would be BAD! Now you could say " But Dinosaurs were cold blooded!!!" even if that were true we go back to the "Mass" issues I work in casting aluminum billets and ingots, some of them are over 29 inch in diameter... it takes these billets weeks or even months to cool down enough to touch. All large mammals which are warm blooded, unless they live in a very cold place lack any form of insulation because the need to regulate body heat is very important and seeing as how an adult T.Rex was elephant sized, it goes to figure that they most likely didn't have feathers unless young...
Point 3).... I'm rooting for the T.Rex...EAT THE TINY FILTHY HUMAN THINGYS!!!!
I'm shutting up now and will never do this again for any of your amazing pics..... Thank You....

There's new evidence that dinos had feathers... and the T-rex was a scavenger.
I say- screw the scientists, this is awesome!

Haha...Your descriptions crack me up...Great job on the lighting and composition. That sky looks amazing...I think the only thing I'm missing is a sense of motion...Maybe adding some dust being kicked up by the T-Rex or something? Also as I look at it a bit longer it seems like there could be a bit more texture to the head of the dino as its closer to us...One last thing, and I hesitate to say it because you didn't ask for a crit and here I am blabbing on...The jumping caveman's leg forms a tangent with the top of the dino's tail which slightly interrupts an otherwise strong composition...I feel bad pointing these things out because I honestly think you've accomplished so many great things with this piece and I really do love it! Those very small crits aside, this is an amazing piece and very evocative of Frazetta, which is no small praise I think.

I've always liked the idea of some dinos surviving. Maybe because of the environment and lack of food, they evolved and became smaller. I imagined a T-Rex would be about the size of the one in this piece. something like a monster of the old age.
