I've always been a big fan of the wolverine character (bonus for being canadian) and never found Cyclops especially interesting... But in my mind, if these two were to duke it out- wolverine would be a smoldering skeleton in 5sec flat. I mean, the guy just has to LOOK at him. kaboom. over-town.thats just me.

As a fan of both Wolverine and Cyclops, I can say that with fighting experience, they're pretty equal. Cyclops is a great tactician and is able to predict Logan's moves, as shown here:Β 24.media.tumblr.com/7af728bd90...
If we incorporate powers, Cyclops blasts can keep knocking Wolverine back. While yes, Wolverine will keep coming back, as long as Cyclops can keep Logan away from a close-distance radius, I think he'll be okay. Although I'm not sure Scott will want to spend the rest of his life blasting at Wolverine rofl.
All in all, I definitely wouldn't want to see a fight to the finish between these two. In my heart, I'd defend Cyclops, but Logan's healing factor is extremely annoying definitely a force to be reckoned with, and if you can't die, well... the battle will eventually only end one way or the other.

These two actually had a huge fight a couple of years ago during the Schism storyline, it was really cool. They didn't care that a Sentinel was trying to kill them at the same time, they just fought and fought. And despite burning all the flesh off of Wolverine's face, it didn't really do much. His healing factor is only second to Deadpool's and Adamantium is one of the toughest materials in the Marvel Universe, making Wolverine a really, really durable guy. They didn't actually finish the fight, though.

I love the picture but Wolverine is the ultimate hunter and is amazingly good at stealth! cyclops is just a guy with more power than he knows what to do with. Cyclops would never have a chance.

only thought though is that Wolverine can constantly regenerate so even if Cyclops put a few holes in him he would still come back fighting.

I would put my money on Wolvie. Unless cyclops plans on leveling the whole forrest, he's in wolverines element. Once he gets up he's going to go ninja on crybaby cyclops. Great pic. It tells a interesting story.

Cyks would almost stand no chance against Wolverine (unless your talking about P.Force) Wolvies' mutation makes him a very annoying opponent and very difficult to acutually beat.

It's funny, I used to like Wolverine, and thought Cyk was boring, but these days it's the opposite. Cyclops is the rogue revolutionary and Wolverine is a puppet of the Avengers.

I have this feeling that while Cy's vision would help in a battle against Wolverine, it wouldn't do much. Regenerative powers of the latter and all. Still, the scene is pretty bad-A, especially with the splintering trees. That's just too cool.
