Despite living under deep pressure in the depths of the ocean, these Relicanth can walk on land thanks to a gemstone like bone structure that prevents the Pokémon from buckling down. Relicanth lived so deep that the extinction event that turned all prehistoric Pokémon into fossils merely grazed Relicanth, making them lethargic rock types.
