Oh, back like 10 years ago when SA2 came out. Me and my friend both made fan characters. I went through like 4 different models of Rex before I decided on the one I would use. I wanted him to be red with black stripes and when I saw Shadow, I know how he should look. now, the arm and leg rings, I went through like 8 different ones from Sonic, to like Eggman. We then said Rex and Volt would be brothers with Shadow through the Chaos Emeralds and I went back to Shadow and finalized the ring design. The Shoe was a upgrade from his shoe he had before. Like, I just game him that shoe.

He is not meant to look like shadow but I was sticking to the true Sonic character design without adding hair, cloths, and adding extra stuff to them. You know.
