I could give you reasons why you didn't win, but the biggest reason is that I drew that EXACT same scene...and I won. XD Sorry bro. Your work still kicks ass. I should have thought of the whole blue electricity thing. It looks way cool.

Hmm. Well, first off, I think there's too much fiery orange. Its difficult to see the details with the orange haze, so it looks like a big blob from a distance. I love the effect of the ark breaking apart from entering the earth's atmosphere, but the ark itself looks kind of odd, almost as if it was made in MS paint. And maybe a little variation in the poses. Sonic and Shadow look like a copy>
