Description
For all the people trying to inform me that I drew a peace symbol for an illustration of hate. I shall now educate you.1. yes the ORIGINAL symbol represented peace. It can be found over any number of buddhist temples and the such. [link]
2. I am very much aware Hitler stole the symbol...and it is now sorely more recognized as the nazi symbol. [link]
so please...please...do not assume I had no idea this symbol was stolen. Even so the image was inspired by the pollution of two children influenced heavily by neo nazi's in their life.
"Hate Is Contageous. Its a disease that poisons and corrupts the soul. Innocence lost, our children are listening"
Thats is whats written over and over in the background. I want to let you all know that this is in no way intended to be a racially offensive artwork but rather intended to make a statement of how our hatred and ideals are passed on to our children.
I personally think this image is better suited to conceptual than manga/anime simply because its more about the statement in the image than the style its drawn in. To this day I wish there was a category for social issues, but there isn't...so I will place it here instead.
I drew this after seeing an interview on television with a band named Prussian blue. It consists of two twin girls, very young (at the time I drew it), very innocent looking, with a soft sweet sound to their music, until you listen to the lyrics. Brought up by a white supremecist mother and grandfather the girls were raised to believe blacks were not human...therefore don't have souls the same as them...which is where the phrase on the girl's scarf "he died for me, not you" came from.
Watching these girls broke my heart to realize that two girls that look innocent on the outside are so corrupted by their caretakers ideals...and it made me want to cry.
The characters in this image are both to a degree intended to be children, and siblings, the boy older and farther along in his path to corruption, but the girl vastly unaware of the degree of wrongness in her holding such a doll in her hands. Spatterred with blood textures in the background to show that only pain and negative results come from such opinions.
You can read more about prussian blue at [link] (American_duo)

NOTE: anyone who wishes to use this for spreading ANTI hate messages or for reports and the such, I grant permission...however you HAVE to credit me as the artist and let me KNOW before you use it.

The original? You do realize it was a nordic symbol as well before hinduism right?

well, I said Chinese not Hindu, (since it seems its been used in many cultures) Second of all, that's interesting, I didn't know (and this picture is way old)

Very interesting. You don't usually find pieces with depth and meaning in this style. I love to see that not all the people that use this style are all rabid fangirls. Great work, on the piece and it's message.

XD If they were inspired by Neo-Nazi they would not have clothes like that and hair like that lol but then again...Never mind...Neo-Nazi are a bunch of retarded people who are mostly not even German who think they are cool because they think they are apart of a Master race, which they are not because they are not German OR Austrian...
Stupid people >3
Good drawing. I like it.

Hitler didn't steal the symbol and it doesn't mean only peace.
A symbol of such brilliant simplicity easily came to be in various cultures on its own without any actual connection of meaning, in other words each culture has a different interpretation of the symbol.
For Buddhists it is peace or in some interpretations the symbol of the universe.
In Sanskrit the symbol is known as the Swastika.
In Germany the symbol is known as the Hakenkreuz (hook-cross) and according to some sources is the symbol of Norse Pagan god Thor.
In Russia, according to some sources, the symbol is known as Posolon' (when the ends point clockwise) and Protivosolon' (when counterclockwise) and represents the sun, in other cases it is known as the Kolovrat (though I, personally, do not support this view and say that the Kolovrat is the symbol with 8 arms, not 4).
The symbol is also evident in Christianity, or at the very least Orthodoxy. There are church icons and crosses with it, according to some sources it represents the birth, life, crucifixion and resurrection of Christ.
It was also a hood ornament on the car of the last Russian Emperor Nicolas the IInd.
After The Bolsheviks took power they added the symbol to the money design of the Temporary Government to distinguish it as Soviet money and not that of the powers that took over after the February Revolution.
One Red Army specialist proposed it to be used in a design for his Army's badge, that was a Red Rhombus decorated with a yellow Posolon' with the letters R S S R between its hands and the letter F in the center of it (RSFSR), surrounded by a laurel wreath and a 5-pointed star above it.
Point being: nobody "stole" anything and it wasn't "flipped over, making it evil" or whatever.
It was used as a german symbol, containing a german interpretation of it, there is nothing evil about it and it should be used freely.
An example of its modern usage would be its presence in the flag of the Finnish Airforce. It's been present as their symbol since before the Second World War and it is still present there today.
Just sharing a bit of my knowledge on the subject.

Apparently Raggy76ZN already beat me to it, though I'm happy to see that I provided more information.
As on the image itself - I like it, though I am not a fan of anime (on the contrary, I pretty much hate it with only two exceptions), as it looks very professional.
And about your message: while I believe that hatred is a natural human emotion and that there is no point in denying it or extensively suppressing it to a point of letting people walk over you, I do agree that children should be shielded from it.
Let children be children and experience only the joys of the world while they are not yet required to see it's more ugly side.

.....Wow. Prepare for a looooong comment.
I hate to break it to all of you practitioners of the "Hitler stole the symbol from the Hindus, Buddhists, etc." movement, but it's simply not true.
The swastika (known in Germany as the hakenkreuz or "hook cross") has been used in Northern Europe for over 2 millennium. It was ,and for some still is, a symbol of great power and strength. It also represents, among other things, the eternal sun and all of it's life giving/taking power.
Hitler needed a symbol that would strike a chord in the Germanic soul. Something that all of his people could relate and rally to. The hakenkreuz was chosen in order to represent all that Germany was and all that he wished to make it. The German people had fallen into disgrace after WWI and he wished to return them to what he believed was their rightful place as the greatest empire in the world..... Obviously that didn't work out.
Anyway. I wish people would quit spouting the same old rhetoric over and over again. Please do some actual research before making statements like that.
Other than that, nice picture. Well done.

This might be my favorite thing of yours you've ever done simply for its meaning. funny how that sort of thing can happen, right?
Just the fact that kids can be so easily influenced by hate if they're surrounded by it is tragic. It IS poison.

Wow. It really makes me sad that children can not only be positively but also negatively influenced, and to have it happen as strongly as that.. >_< At the same time, I'm reading about Prussian Blue, and it really shocks me! I mean, they made their debut in 2003, that's only six years ago! I thought people weren't such racists anymore >_< And they're only children.. I like how you conveyed the (semi?)innocence of the younger girl, and the messages that are weaved into this picture.

SORRY! Just curious.
