Description
For all the people trying to inform me that I drew a peace symbol for an illustration of hate. I shall now educate you.1. yes the ORIGINAL symbol represented peace. It can be found over any number of buddhist temples and the such. [link]
2. I am very much aware Hitler stole the symbol...and it is now sorely more recognized as the nazi symbol. [link]
so please...please...do not assume I had no idea this symbol was stolen. Even so the image was inspired by the pollution of two children influenced heavily by neo nazi's in their life.
"Hate Is Contageous. Its a disease that poisons and corrupts the soul. Innocence lost, our children are listening"
Thats is whats written over and over in the background. I want to let you all know that this is in no way intended to be a racially offensive artwork but rather intended to make a statement of how our hatred and ideals are passed on to our children.
I personally think this image is better suited to conceptual than manga/anime simply because its more about the statement in the image than the style its drawn in. To this day I wish there was a category for social issues, but there isn't...so I will place it here instead.
I drew this after seeing an interview on television with a band named Prussian blue. It consists of two twin girls, very young (at the time I drew it), very innocent looking, with a soft sweet sound to their music, until you listen to the lyrics. Brought up by a white supremecist mother and grandfather the girls were raised to believe blacks were not human...therefore don't have souls the same as them...which is where the phrase on the girl's scarf "he died for me, not you" came from.
Watching these girls broke my heart to realize that two girls that look innocent on the outside are so corrupted by their caretakers ideals...and it made me want to cry.
The characters in this image are both to a degree intended to be children, and siblings, the boy older and farther along in his path to corruption, but the girl vastly unaware of the degree of wrongness in her holding such a doll in her hands. Spatterred with blood textures in the background to show that only pain and negative results come from such opinions.
You can read more about prussian blue at [link] (American_duo)

NOTE: anyone who wishes to use this for spreading ANTI hate messages or for reports and the such, I grant permission...however you HAVE to credit me as the artist and let me KNOW before you use it.

wow nicely done and show so much emotion.
It is sad how people can teach their children to hate so much. Poor kids ended up blinded by this hate they canβt see the beautiful things in life or in other people who are different

Sadly, this is beyond truthful. Hate is a social disease, and humans as a species will go out of its way to hate, in many forms. Of which could be from verbal hate to killing and it doesn't stop at just the human race, it even extends hate into the animal kingdom. Sad but true. Bravo to you.

I agree...its really sad that such things go so far beyond our control, and while it may branch into the animal kingdom its so much worse amongst mankind

really cool the characters and the clever design of their clothes really got me, like, you wouldn't expect such characters to be portraying images of hate, and I like that.

Wow, this is such a powerful piece, that I looked at it, read your description, and had to come back another day to be able to formulate a proper comment for it.
First off, the art itself is beautiful, but the message even more so. I have to give you credit just for having the balls to draw something like this and post it. It's a great piece though, and I had to pull my bf over to the computer and make him look at it and read about it, and he loved it as well.
I feel like I'm just babbling now, but good job. People really need to realize how their actions and words are so negatively affecting kids these days...

to be honest I never even made prints of this because I was afraid of the stir it might cause at an anime con art show. u__u I was a little scared of posting it here since certain insignia are against DA TOS

Well, I'm glad that you did post it. And I see where it would be a problem at a con art show. We'd probably have to tell you to take it off of display, even though I love it. >_<;; It's amazingly powerful though, I wish you could show it off more.

So true.
I also know the contrary of this statement: Now, in some countries (like France), people believe that german people are still all nazi. Wich is very painfull when you're a german "aryan"-looking girl living in France. -_-
Gaah, damn you Hitler.
Your image is somehow very cool (clothes) and very scary (mostly the girl's big eyes......they make me shiver). So it's a good work.

The hate that is still out there is so overwhelming. When you're afraid to let people even hear your name for fear of death is such an awful feeling when you want to be proud of who you are, that your family was strong enough to survive the tyranny of such a frightful man. I've had a few scares due to some wannabe Neo-Nazi's that went to my school that were passing around threats.
Even my boyfriend was raised to see blacks in a negative way... and when you're raised that way, it's so hard to change. I'm trying though and I think some of it is starting to stick. Even if I have to use a selfish way of putting it like "What if I were the one getting all these insults, what if they were talking about killing me just because I am who I am, someone who cannot change what is making me such a detestable person?" in the end, if it makes a difference then that is what matters...

I'm sure rumors are better than people taking action on those rumors, but it's still the sad sad world in which we live.
I just keep in mind that discrimination is the root of awful things, and try to keep an open mind since that's what I'd hope others will do.
Sometimes I wish that "Pay it Forward" was really thought upon deeply like it should be.

It just breaks my heart to think that there are people out there who harbor so much hate, or that learned it from somebody else.
It just doesn't seem fair.
