Description For all the people trying to inform me that I drew a peace symbol for an illustration of hate. I shall now educate you.

1. yes the ORIGINAL symbol represented peace. It can be found over any number of buddhist temples and the such. [link]

2. I am very much aware Hitler stole the symbol...and it is now sorely more recognized as the nazi symbol. [link]

so please...please...do not assume I had no idea this symbol was stolen. Even so the image was inspired by the pollution of two children influenced heavily by neo nazi's in their life.

"Hate Is Contageous. Its a disease that poisons and corrupts the soul. Innocence lost, our children are listening"

Thats is whats written over and over in the background. I want to let you all know that this is in no way intended to be a racially offensive artwork but rather intended to make a statement of how our hatred and ideals are passed on to our children.

I personally think this image is better suited to conceptual than manga/anime simply because its more about the statement in the image than the style its drawn in. To this day I wish there was a category for social issues, but there isn't...so I will place it here instead.

I drew this after seeing an interview on television with a band named Prussian blue. It consists of two twin girls, very young (at the time I drew it), very innocent looking, with a soft sweet sound to their music, until you listen to the lyrics. Brought up by a white supremecist mother and grandfather the girls were raised to believe blacks were not human...therefore don't have souls the same as them...which is where the phrase on the girl's scarf "he died for me, not you" came from.

Watching these girls broke my heart to realize that two girls that look innocent on the outside are so corrupted by their caretakers ideals...and it made me want to cry.

The characters in this image are both to a degree intended to be children, and siblings, the boy older and farther along in his path to corruption, but the girl vastly unaware of the degree of wrongness in her holding such a doll in her hands. Spatterred with blood textures in the background to show that only pain and negative results come from such opinions.

You can read more about prussian blue at [link] (American_duo)

~Senny

NOTE: anyone who wishes to use this for spreading ANTI hate messages or for reports and the such, I grant permission...however you HAVE to credit me as the artist and let me KNOW before you use it.

I'm glad to see this one again. It was one of my favorites out of your gallery. Though I always like the pieces you have that have a direct, specific meaning/point to them. ^_^

Well honestly it's a good thing. People need to get shaken up a bit from the monotone that is their lives every now and then.

This is a message that needs to stay up, this time. It's really a shame that it has to be a message that needs to be said, and for so many, it's not just common sense....
I really hope no one misinterprets it like before.

This has just a strong message. What's sad people either say how cute it is or don't read the artiest comment you leave. Great way to show that it a peace symbol and not a sign of hatred.

i love this . the story behind it made me want to cry as well.

i had seen the band some time ago and read their lyrics and knowing that two children could spread such horrid and sickening ideas really gave me a wake up call to reality. still made me sick...

*hugs* when i drew "the music attacks" i was removed from the glendale public library in handcuffs. the reason was because i was inciting a riot with my art. i said nothing until the cop asked me what the drawing was. i showed him and he asked his partner to stop the squad car and let me out. his exact words were "irony of the first impression is what art is about. i can't believe they called us for this..." so they let me out and went back to citation the library manager ^_^

This is a beautiful display of emotions, as it conveys something that, though is sad, is very true.
It truly is sad that such things can't simply die with generations but must be passed on.

I think its really sad too. Its always hard to tell...at what point does it transcend from corrupted innocence to a choice? Its a very hard cycle to break

Another old favorite of mine from your art. I'm so glad you reuploaded this! It's a great message and I think it's a well-executed idea.

It is sad the things people can still believe in this day and age. Again, I'm glad reuploaded this piece.

Hitler did stole that symbol but the question is why

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

withdicedcorners In reply to rifleman92 [2009-01-26 03:29:04 +0000 UTC]

because contrary to popular believe in comics, bad guys are usually good guys in their own plane of thoughts.

I believe Hitler wanted to purify his "race". In his opinion it was his holy crusade towards ensuring the perfect future for the.... aryan?

I can't say more than just how powerful this is. It takes a little bit of time to really let all the pieces of this image sink in, never mind the meaning behind it all. Going back and looking at it again after reading things, I almost expected them to have blond hair and blue eyes... @_@
