In between some 3D homework, I was naughty and made some Nicole x Shard fanart. These two really saved me from getting a bit fed up with the Archie Comics. This is another "all Photoshop" picture, so forgive me for the lameness. (I've grown too accustomed to the curve tool in Paint Tool SAI)I should have that art trade I owe *Kat-Bou up sometime this weekend. Assuming all goes well with schoolwork.

Unfortunately, not yet. In one of the latest issues, there's an Emerl-looking robot with Shard's color scheme with a slightly similar personality, but that may just be in reference to Sonic Battle. Hopefully, after the crossover and current arc are over, we may run into him again. In other words, maybe sometime next year or the year after.

Oh, no worries on that front. I completely hear you. It can be frustrating waiting for one's favorite character to shine. Personally, that's why I don't care for this crossover business. It's getting in the way of plot and character progression. I'm sure the time will fly by, though. We'll just have wait and see where we end up.

But regardless, super cute! I really love your shading here, particularly in Nicole's hair. The posing is solid, as are the expressions. I absolutely ADORE this!

If I remember correctly, there is a lineart layer you can create. It has a few tools that aren't used in regular layers. It gives you really smooth lines, which can become fairly addictive to use.
