My boy Ryan B. texted me over the weekend a couple weeks back... and said "you should draw Thundarr....."I'm thinkin'... Dude... what!? So all of a sudden I gets ta rememberin' the "Superman and Lois moment" in the Christopher Reeves and Margot Kidder team-up... you know the one I'm referring to.. but in case ya don't... it's when they were flying together for the first time... so I starts to think... Can he read my mind? Can he hear my very thoughts? " hahahaha
But yeah... the REAL reason, too was I have been wanting to go back to Thundarr and Ookla, with an addition of Arial.
Well, I guess you all can take it from here, that I COULD NOT resist such a tease!
MAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNN, I can't get enough of the 80's! toons.

I catch the show on Boomerang every now and then.
I remember catching the show on Saturday mornings and then after that waiting for the Godzilla shows to come on afterwards.

This piece is awesome! Though truthfully I like the re-design of Ookla the Mok you did a while back. Man i hope they release those episodes on DVD. The centurions would be sweet, but what about the Silverhawks?!

I love 80's cartoons and Thundarr the Barbarian was one of them. It was great mix of medieval, sci-fi, and fantasy elements. Wonderful artwork!

This is awesome!!! I love Thundarr! My TiVo also loves Thundarr, as made apparent by the 13 episodes it records over and over... Its been playing pretty regular on Boomerang Network for about 2 months now. Classic deigns and voice acting at its best. My 4 year old loves this show, even though the opening is a little harsh, you know with the destruction of civilization in 1994. Apparently, no one noticed it happening with everything else going on... The Olympics, Woodstock, The Chunnel Opening and of course O.J. Simpson...
