Description
In Bambi 2, the Great Prince takes Bambi to this beautiful sunny part of the forest. As he stands there admiring it with his son, there is a sad look in his eyes. Taking a deep breath, he reveals this is where he met Bambi's mother.~~~
I love that part!! XD This is my representation of when Bambi's parents met for the first time. They really did love each other. And I know animals don't blush! So what! I wanted him to blush! XP

A couple things:
1) It is established in Bambi 1 that that Bambi's dad is older than Bambi's mom. That is why he is bigger than her.
2) Bambi asks the Great Prince when he will get his antlers, to which he replies "It shouldn't be long now, if you're anything like I was." To me, this suggests the Great Prince matured quickly, so that's why he already has generous antlerage <-- made up word (It ended up getting cut off, but he did have more antler visible)
3) As the fawns in Bambi grow up, their hair gets darker. That's why Bambi's mom is so light. Bambi's dad is dark because he's already partially matured.

Thus concludes my explanations! I actually did research prior to drawing this (I took notes on anything mentioned about Bambi's parent's childhood and used a lot of references trying to figure out what colors they should be... I'm like the biggest Bambi fan ever XD)

Okay so this was my first time coloring digitally. I drew it and colored it with traditional pencils then scanned it onto the computer and cleaned it up and added effects. I know the coloring's not that good. I'm still trying to get a hang of digital media. I got so frustrated I wanted to cry T_T That background was hella hard!! D:

***And just so there's no misunderstanding... THIS IS NOT BAMBI AND FALINE!! THIS IS BAMBI'S MOM AND DAD!!
