Description
This is a long overdue commission for my friend and his up and coming concept/RPG he's working on =]The one highlighted in the center is Winry, a fiesty space pirate captain and her band of sand-faring wolves. =] I'm not quite sure if we're allowed to disclose much details on them yet but I'll leave ~Taicon to answer any questions should they arise.
Technical Details
This piece is entirely digital. It was sketched and inked in Alias Sketchbook, colored in photoshop and embellished painter, using several tools including a traditional graphire 2 tablet, a space-navigator joystick for quick photoshop manipulation, and my new HP tablet PC which I managed to break in by working on this. ^^
Thanks again for the great assignment, man. Your ideas are really interesting and I had a lot of fun interpreting them and bringing them to visual life. As always, best of luck with the project. Seriously, your paintings just never cease to amaze me.
I'm not really one for digital art such as this. Though you should know that I'm more for traditional right about now anyways.

Chemb0t Certainly outdoes himself exponentially for every project he puts out^^. I'm extremely pleased with the art piece and the characters it was worth every second of waiting.
To confirm what Chem said for HeadShot Shu is currently the name we have for Winry's first mate although I'd like to get more opinions on that, as we might need a more fitting or roughed name to match his personality.
Chem you were of great help getting all the character colors in and they look awesome as a result, and hopefully your schedule will allow for more collaboration in the future, I wouldn't mind paying out the nose for more of your work :3

Yes, he goes by the name of 'Shu' I'm told. He serves sortof as Winry's first mate on their ship. =]
As for Alias Sketchbook (actually now called Autodesk Sketchbok), it's a highly intuitive drawing program geared toward tablet PC's and tablet drawing. All of the features are controlled through gestures and pen flicks. It's extremely useful for modifying drawings. For example if you wanted to reposition the arm or scale up the feet, you simply have to select the area you want to edit and use the pen itself to move, rotate or scale the selection. No cluttered menus and boxes. =] It's a very advanced program in itself too. Built in layer support, on the fly brush resizing and autosmooth zooming.
If you have a tablet or tablet pc, I'd highly recommend you get this program. You can find out more about here . I believe there's a trial available. [link]

Yes, the lineart was drawn using Alias Sketchbook. It's a very nifty program for drawing on the computer using a tablet or tablet PC. =] [link]
