You're not the first one to compare it with something like that. It's a radial fighter design, quiet imaginative and maybe a bit too high science fiction for my story but very very cool none the less

HAH! That's understandable. The background of your universe has a cyberpunk feel. Its in comparison to our own modern reality. We made extensive breakthroughs in nearly all manners of sciences and yet it doesn't get any better. As advance as our real world its kind of a bleak future too.

True, I believe you can't compare my universe with exactly something else but Blade runner comes very close. A lot of the inspiration regarding warfare and the tools of it come from japanese manga such as Akira, Battle angel Alita, ghost in the shell and the likes. My own imagination does the rest and far beyond. Halflife and Deus ex are a large influence as did Mass effect, just without the alien races but simply because that's too high science fiction again. I like to refer to high science fiction when it's about immense space vessels traveling across galaxies and alien races causing political and military problems. Cyberpunk is basically only about humans and humanoids in a not so far dystopian future on earth where there is a clear social hierarchy and most of the story is being told from the lower parts of the hierarchy (which tends to make it dark, grimy and criminal). So you're absolutely right when you say it will be bleak, power to the people!
