Oh this is beautiful, do you do the wing shading on the same level when painting the wings ? or do you change opacity ?

I've already been musing whether you used the 5th option and then did adjustments ... what a lot of work.
I especially love the egret / heron / swan - like feel to your style. These are such beautiful birdies.
