To answer the question as to what Aristaeus was doing: He was probably nodding off as he listened yep.
But he's grown upset because listening to some weird old guy ramble was the perfect background sounds to take a nap to, but with the movement of the boat he's having a hard time falling asleep.
Hey at least it looks like Astraea has made sure they'll have something to bring home!
