Illustrator is another good one, but I haven't quite figured it out yet. Corel Painter is great for making digital stuff look traditional.

They're all expensive. Its best to download an old version from the internet for free to learn on until you get money for new ones.

I've always had trouble with backgrounds for some reason...Maybe I don't add enough detail...OH GOD I'M FLUFFY! XD
