The trick is to not remember the lyric.
I had the problem with 'Gummi Bears'(gumisie) and Chip and dale.

At least it's catchy and fun, better than some of the songs I've had the displeasure of getting lodged into my brain, though the worst for certain was the time I had one phrase from a song I couldn't remember the name of or my connection with, and only that one phrase and accompanying part of the tune would constantly loop through my brain. Fortunately I eventually found it, listened to the whole thing and finally freed myself from at least that songs curse

I once had the opening theme song for the children's tv show 'Fireman Sam' stuck in my head...for three years

No matter what I did, it was always there. Forever looping in my head, no matter what

I thought I was focusing on my final exams, NO! I thought I was focusing on my job interview, NO! I thought I was focusing on the attractive girl I was having a date with, but NO!

Nobody believed me...to this day, nobody takes me seriously when I speak of it. Even now years later, if it's quiet...and there's no sound coming from anywhere...I can hear it...almost as though it's being played in the other room. A part of me still doesn't accept that it isn't

Three years... You're lucky. I heard that darn tune when I was a kid and still to this day, quarter century passed, and still...

On a side note it's funny how Italian rendition of that theme is way more catchy than it's Japanese counterpart.

I like to believe that the fact I can hear his theme tune all the time means that I'll be able to one day, call on him in my hour of need.
I'll be trapped somewhere, or being mugged and he'll suddenly charge onto the scene, wielding his mighty fire-axe
