Red and his beloved Pikachu on top of Mt. Silver.I still don't know why he's up there, or why he never calls home, or even why he doesn't wear a jacket. He just somehow evolved into some enigmatic badass. Not that i'm complaining of course.
About this picture, I originally planned to have him with his other Mt. Silver Pokemon but didn't like the composition and scrapped the idea... so I guess it's... unfinished?
If anything, it makes a good desktop wallpaper >_>;;.

My guess is he's the Akuma of the Pokemon world. He exiled himself out of fear of what he's become capable of, and to give other new trainers a chance. His mother was never made aware of this, but Leaf and Blue were and apparently gave him some Pokemon, perhaps to help him along or remind him of them--note that he has their starters now. And now he waits for someone to come along who can actually defeat him.
Alternate addition to the theory: He died up there and you fight the ghosts of him and his Pokemon. Notice how he disappears into thin air after you defeat him.

I think he does care for his mother but he just likes to battle and trains so he can maybe travel to other regions? I just wish he was in more games. Red is just too cool to leave out in the games. At least his pikachu and his other pokemon are there to comfort and be with him as well. *faved*

In my story, Red heard about Gold's defeating Team Rocket and the Pokemon League. He then contacted Professor Oak and told him he will be waiting for the Johto Champion on top of Mt. Silver.

All I can remember is visiting Red's house (as Gold), and his mother saying that he hasn't contacted her in a long while. Defeating the new champion is good and all but someone should really give her a head's up. >_>;;
