yay im alive β and i got a pmso this is a gift for my other wonderful roommate. her birthday was on valentine's day
this isn't like my usual style, but i really like it--
curly hair is so fun to color! though my drawing can't justify her real curls, she has the most curly hair ever
but please tell me what you think about this β the coloring, the style etc. it helps me out a lot!

Ah this looks great! You pulled off curly hair so well, I always find it such a struggle. This looks gorgeous though, and the colours you used tie in the whole drawing so nicely!

I have to say that your style is very lovely!
I recall you saying once that you wanted a more "semi-realistic" style, and you have done quite a nice job developing it
One thing that needs more practice, in my opinion, are the shadows. I see that in the back of her head, the hair is darker than the hair in the front. But the shadows in her skin don't have the same contrast.
I'd recommend you to add more shadows, and make them in balance with the rest of the elements of your picture.
Shadows are very important if you want to make it realistic~!
And, i'd say that the neck-shoulders area is maybe too ... curved? (?) I don't know how to explain myself here qAq
I can just say that, her shoulders and neck should be a bit bigger in proportion to her head. (If you'd wanted more realistic, but i guess is fine if you prefer semi-realistic?)
What i liked the most, ya say??!!1!

I know curls may not be easy to paint, but you have done a great job doing them. The highlights are a very good detail and it gives the hair volume

yes, you're quite right about the semi-realistic approach! i'd love to get a more semi-realistic style, but manga/anime is also so lovely
