What is the point in recycling old clichΓ©s? The idea behind this series is to create the most unique representation of Zodiac signs showing the true nature and essence of what they stand for. After 3 years since the first designs have been posted I decided that it is time to revive the series and redo everything, adding more detail, more color, more thought behind each sign. I received hundreds of replies from people thanking me for getting the essence of their sign right, this is amazing, you guys get it, not much needs to be said further. As an aquarius looking at this for the first time, I thought "that's cool, but doesn't suit aquarius", but, being a thinker sign, I pondered and realized it really does suit aquarius.
I at first thought it should be more flowing and pretty to the eyes to reflect air, water, and friendliness. But, truthfully, aquarius are not as graceful as we appear, and are very difficult to understand due to our eccentricity. The complex and jutting pieces represent how we are very complicated and that are minds are not as pretty as people think, since our minds are filled with many non-stop thoughts all flying around at once.
We are fascinating to look at (metaphysically), and have an odd beauty that draws people in yet at the same time can intimidate them. When looked at more closely, you see the inner beauty, one of aquarius' prized traits: the smooth bone-like texture and the water drops gives off the sensation of brief flight (which is yet grounded by the water dripping off). We are a very complicated mix of air and water with natural elements. We also bring very unique ideas to the table that others find confusing (like the tangled pieces in this symbol), but in the end - if you look at the big picture (something we are good at) - it works very well.
Anyway, that's just a few of my thoughts. The more I looked at it, the more I enjoyed this piece. Funny, because in order for an aquarius to understand this symbol, we had to use our intuitive traits in order to look deeper and see the symbolism. People say right off the bat it doesn't suit aquarius, but we are not easy to figure out and we like to keep people guessing, so in the end this symbol accomplished very well the sign of aquarius.
So, what a wonderful piece! Sorry if my prattle didn't make any sense, I'm just simply trying to explain the hidden symbolism I see.

I absolutely love it as well and I am also an Aquarius! But there is something about it that doesn't seem "Aquarius". It needs something more but I just can't put my finger on it

love the design, though i do find it hard to link it to Aquarius there are little things, like the water drop at the botton and what almost look like wings on the top, and it appears to have the alchemical air symbol used in it. How do you come up with these designs? their so intricate. Good job on these zodiac designs

One of my best friends is an aquarius and according to me this matches her quite well. She still likes the whole idea of magic and fairies (however she doesn't believe in fairies as far as I know

Perhaps the lines the make up the design need to be less structural and more flowing. Water and air are more about being graceful and fluid rather than sharp and rigid. Most of the piece flows, but maybe you would be more satisfied if it flowed just a bit more. Maybe some twisting or twirling. Very nice piece though, I like the drips at the bottom.

I'm missing a fish-like sign or something that gives me a hint to think about it ... I like your zodiacs especially scorpio has an impressive look.

i love it.
My father is an aquarius, and this art reminds me of him. There's a strong resiliance to it. The air element of it shows through, and so does the water bearer aspect.

i really like this and have been wanting a tattoo i plan on getting one when i'm old enough but i didn't just want the 3 little squiggly thingy's and this is the first good design i have seen. really awesome.
