For those who havn't seen this movie, that giant green thing is a mutated insect species called the Ohmu
So anyways, Nausicaa is my hero and this scene always make me cry and I love this movie soooooo much!!!
So yeah i won't give away to much but Nausicaa who is injured (and who is about to get even bigger boo boos) saves the baby ohmu from something. She is just so inspirational, my favorite princess of all time. She is so brave and strong and compassionate! Okay im done ranting
Btw- Lineart was done is August, just havn't had the time the color it

And no i haven't but i really want to. For my birthday i was trying to decide whether to get the Nausicaa manga or The Journey of Shuna, but i picked shuna lol

Well, when you get the manga (all 7 I hope), be prepared to be to take a step back (if you haven't heard) because it's really dark (and often times shocking) and it's more complex (so no light-hearted, simple movie plus the plot is different: ex. Kushuana and Kurotawa are friends NOT enemies to Nauiscaa). But that's what makes it so good (good enough that if Miyazaki waited, this could have easily dethrone other really good Ghibli films like Grave of the Fireflies, Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away) it's possible a good canidate for a live-action CGI adaption if there was ever to be considered. But I heard Journey of Shuna is really good (is it really a Nausicaa and Mononoke prototype as I hear it to be?)
