Description Holy crap Chibi's posting again!  And it's traditional art no less!  Turns out I'm actually a whole lot better at traditional art than digital.  Who knew, right?

Got tons more where this came from.  I sold posters at a local convention and did a bunch of commissions there last month.  I'd like to start up commissions again, actually!  And mostly traditional ones like this too.  A single character in this style costs $30!

Did you happen to use a color blender by chance? I have been practicing with copics and I have been having trouble making the colors blend and flow into one another. Any suggestions?

I actually don't use the transparent blender very much!  I just had several different markers of each shade.  (Like, at least 4-5 grays and blues for this one.)  I started with the lightest marker and layered the darker colors over it in the shadowed areas, then went back over it with the light marker and scrubbed the boundary to blend them together while they were still wet.

Absolutely stunning! Mind me asking how you got the fully transparent background? Did you erase the rest of the paper in photoshop?

Yep, it was a very hi-res scan, so it wasn't too hard to select all the white space and erase it.

Awesome! I would love to work with Copic markers, but just can't find them where I live, at least not for under 30USD
