"I’m sorry, Ada…"
“I’m sorry too, Iôn nîn”
~~~~~~~~~~~~
It’s hard to be a parent, you don’t want to scold your child but sometimes you just have to….
I sorta drew this as a follow-up to my “Lego-less” picture XD But it doesn’t have to necessarily be that…>3> Basically the only theme it really has is both feeling guilty for upsetting the other. Legolas feels bad he upset his ada and Thranpapa feels bad he snapped at him. But they’re snuggling each other now so it’s going to be ok. ;w;
Ahh I just love cute father-son relationships way too much…;w;
Thranduil and Legolas belong to J.R.R. Tolkien
ps. i got the elvish from sindarinlessons.weebly.com/, which i think is pretty legit? i only did a very brief, very quick skim to try and find the words i wanted though so i apologize if they’re incorrect….>n<”
This is so adorable! I have to wonder, though, how Elves do in fact raise their young....are they affectionate, or are they cold? Thranduil seemed cold in the movie, but who knows what he was like when Legolas was little...
thanks! ^^ and i'm really not so sure....i haven't seen any of the hobbit movies yet, read the book like 8-10 years ago (which legolas isn't even in) XD;;; all i have to go on personally is all the adorable thranduil and baby legolas art i see.
i think it would really depend on rank and situation as well though >3> like i read from someone else much more knowledgeable than i (but i do agree with it), the situation in mirkwood wasn't exactly the best time for the elves. after all, they just had some random dwarves show up and there's so much trouble happening in their home in general. also thranduil is king, and legolas is his prince. i would assume that at times he would be rather strict with him, since he may one day have to be king. but then i don't really see thranduil as evil. (although again, i read the book agesssssss ago so my memory is really really fuzzy) i think he has to do what he thinks is right for his people, and in a war, you can't exactly be nice to everyone. and especially the long elf-dwarf racist-hatred of each other doesn't entirely help either.
if you really want to know, i'd suggest asking
then again we also have other examples as well, such as how elrond raised his twins and arwen >3>
Nah, I don't see Thranduil as evil either...he just has his own agenda hehe.
Sorry this reply is so short, I have a bad cold right now so I can't really think of anything deep to say .
