I had the idea for this one long before I started MMD and it pretty much sums up my thoughts on shooting a firearm sideways. Was gonna put in some dialogue, but then again the events simply speak for themselves. =u=

Yep, yep~! Proper firing techniques also help too, and that random wannabe just had to attempt something pretty derpy (and that's describing it politely no less). >uO

I still have on my list to do more stuff that demonstrates how silly-looking 'cool shooting stances' don't work. Definitely gonna have to put reminders on my list to remind me to do these next. >u<

they tested this on mythbusters actually and the official stance was best, hip shooting sucked, 2 at once also sucked, yet I believe this one was amazingly accurate

Looking back at that episode, I remember 'gangsta shooting' being the least accurate of the various handgun firing stances being tested. If I recall correctly, shooting the gun sideways had the lowest score of all the techniques tested--even worse than firing a handgun from the hip. o.o

That and shooting the gun sideways never appealed to me in the first place. =u=

you be right, all I know is one of the methods did almost identical to the official stance.

If I recall correctly, it was the one-handed stance with the handgun upright. Wasn't as stable as the others, but unlike the others, Adam and Jamie could still use the sights. o.o

Funny thing about this pic: The M10s still have their suppressors attached. Said suppressors were the Ingram's main selling point as it not only suppressed the shot sound without actively attempting to slow down bullet velocity, but the same suppressor also acted as a makeshift foregrip of sorts if you weren't using the strap below the muzzle. That said, the M10 is still quite the bucking bronco if neither the suppressor nor strap are being held onto by the shooter's offhand, and 'gangsta shooting' just makes it even harder to aim properly. o.o;

well to be fair, amny of the main points for the  "unofficial" stances is getting ammo down range fast, not accurately, so it was a bit unfair because of the goals of each, but the tes WAS accuracy.

True that. Firing guns akimbo alternately--at least in concept--sounds like a good way to provide a short bit of suppression fire in the absence of a fully automatic firearm if you don't mind the difficulty in managing both handguns during the whole thing. On top of that, firing from the hip is something that harkens back from the Wild West days when getting the drop on someone meant being the first to shoot fast while 'gangsta style'...well...only way I can see holding a gun sideways being useful is if you were using the recoil to line up the gun for the next shot (which explains drive-bys in that regard). o.o

you pretty much said it, but with gangsta it seems best suited to movement in general, like running, or driving, I think for driving though its just a matter of the strain whilst in a seat, it feels less "painful" to hold it sideways out a window than to aim properly, I did pseudo test it just now so that's my analysis XD

Now that I think about it, holding the gun sideways does feel more 'aerodynamic' when in a drive-by scenario. Also take into account that typical lolgangsta drive-bys are usually more on mayhem and less than accuracy and it makes more sense than when I made this pic (not that such a shooting stance is still poor in the accuracy department). o.o

Despite all that, I do remember watching a video where some guy tried to hold up a store clerk. The thug had two handguns and was firing them sideways at hip level no less. The clerk was able to duck each time the thug fired in such a manner whilst swinging at him with a baseball bat whenever he went to switch to the other gun. Can't recall exactly where said vid could be found but I do recall the clerk emerged unscathed. =u=

Yep. The robber was that idiotic. Recalling the video in question makes me ask how bad a shot the thug was if he couldn't even get gangsta shooting right of all things. o.o;
