Very nice!
I'm jealous of your ability to make 3D stuff.
nice work on the muscles and the wings.

love this piece, There is nothing wrong with mixing medias, and I think it adds a sense of life to the sculptures. The paper wings they look like feathers, and perhaps using colored paper to achieve the particular look but I am particularly fond of the white wings. WOW amazing gallery!

I like the Paper wings they add a different level of texture to the sculpture.. making them seem more real.. or lighter and the illusion of movement. Great Job

interesting concept man! I just have one question...are you going to bake it? it looks like this deserves to be baked and painted...but I'm not sure if the paper will hold up in the oven without burning

Chicharo In reply to mikhail86 [2009-06-01 20:58:10 +0000 UTC]
it's all ready baked, for the sculpey in the wings I use a heatgun so the paper don't get burn in the oven, yup you right this guy needs a painting but unfortunatelly I don't have it anymore .

Have you considered using a t-nut stand along with concocting a wire armature for the wings as well as the body? The stand would certaintly come in handy when you're building, and with just enough finesse and positioning, the wings could be placed in a balanced way.

HI!! Thank's so much, yup the paper wings work quiet well but the are not meant to last. with the time they will become yellow color
π: 0 β©: 1
Barbossamonkey In reply to Chicharo [2009-11-14 16:27:21 +0000 UTC]
You can avoid the yellowing my using acid-free non-yellowing paper or preservative spray. That can be found in any artist supply store.

Quedo con madre men!

Don't have any trouble with the paper catching fire when you bake it do you? I know wood will take it, but paper?
π: 0 β©: 1
Chicharo In reply to AGMorgan [2007-07-10 13:40:38 +0000 UTC]
no, I have any trouble with fire 'cause I made them separate, I mean, just atached the wings when the sculpture was already baked, for the sculpey in the wings I used a Heatgun, (the one you use for the Hair) so I don't need the use of the oven for them. that works when you need super detail too. Hope this answer your question. thanks for comment.
