Description Another gift for . This is the second part of reimagining my OC, Kota, into her world of Faelmon. Think of this like a DLC or alternate skin of the first picture (which you can see here ). This time around, however, he is a different species of fey and retains his original color scheme from my comic, and with changes of appearance comes changes in story. Hope you enjoy!

Full Name: Kota

Nickname(s): The Man in the Wind, Lord Kota, King, Godeater

Age: ???

Height: 5'5" (165cm)

Weight: 140lb (64kg)

Race: Elf(?)

Physical Traits:

-As an elf, Kota has the signature pointed ears of the fey. His hair is a slick black and he wears it in a long ponytail hanging low from the back of his head. He is oddly attached to his hair. Though he often complains that it gets in the way, whenever he has the chance to cut it, he finds that he just can't. Even he can't explain why he cares so much for it.

-His eyes are a deep blue but change to gold in times of stress. Under dire straits, the golden eyes shine like flame and his pupils morph into serpentine slits. So far, no other elf has demonstrated this trait.

-Kota wears loose, traditional warrior's attire which compliments his mobile fighting style. Over it he wears a cloth blue cloak with an intricate pale pattern woven into it. On the back is a crest that belongs to no known family or deity in Faelmon. Kota doesn't even know what it is, but his raven associate is insistent on keeping the insignia and cloak in good condition. Kota also wears a scarf made from a durable fabric which he uses for a variety of purposes, like a makeshift rope, bag, tourniquet, etc.

-Though he is not particularly strong, he is agile with a lean build. He prefers to overcome foes by using speed and misdirection. However, as his eyes turn gold, his fighting style and tactics turn exponentially aggressive.

Personality:

He is a contemplative man, and a bit of an introvert. Having awoken in a strange land with no memories, he is more keen on observing his environment rather than engaging it. He has much to learn about the people around him and himself before he'll start taking strides in this new world. As he does spend much of his time in solitude, he finds the bustling energy of civilization chaotic and tiring. Whenever he's in town, he'll stick close to whatever chaperone he accompanies like how a child hold onto their mother's apron strings. If left alone, he'll plop down someplace quiet and silently people watch.

Though quiet, Kota is easily excitable when it comes to discoveries. An unfamiliar trinket or person will fascinate him for hours on end as he pokes and prods them, often times literally. This quality often makes Kota seem childlike, but he internalizes what he learns extremely quickly and thus can adapt to any situation. In combat, he can even learn to mimic his opponents' movements if he observes them long enough. Once he even fought Dementia to a standstill through this method in a casual match.

Even so, blue-eyed Kota is a passive man. He avoids conflict and is content to watch others and learn all day. Even as he learns and matures, he has an amiable personality, acting as a friend to everyone. After joining Aka's crew, a maturing Kota develops an amorous nature. Having learned charm from Onyx and sensuality from Sephira , Kota starts becoming something of a ladies' man.

When Kota's eyes glow, however, he changes. He becomes cocksure and capricious. He will act on any passing whim with little regard on how others will think or feel. At this point, he may even refer to himself in the third-person as "Lord Kota" or "King," but his actions are rarely malicious and he can still be rationed with if someone sly enough could play to his new ego. When his eyes become serpentine, however, is when he becomes truly dangerous. At that point, he becomes a being of pure chaos and refers to himself as the ominous "Godeater..."

Story:

It was dark when the man woke in the forest with naught but a raven watching over him from a branch of a dead oak. "It is good to finally see you awake, my lord," the raven spoke. "You may find your predicament confusing, but that is only natural after what happened. Things will clear in time and so will your path, but for now know that I will be your humble guide until you are ready to venture on your own."

The man felt dislodged, though as if he were a stranger in his own skin. He touched his face to feel if it was even his. His fingertips pressed coldly against his cheeks then ran through his hair and... ears? They were long and pointed. Were they supposed to be this way? Then again, why would they feel even unusual in the first place?

The bird spoke again but its voice was quieter. "Strange? Alas, it was the best I could do with what I had left, but it should serve you nicely here." The bird's voice changed, turning raspy, but the man could still hear words in it. "Personally, I still don't get why you'd want this, but a deal's a deal. Now, Kota, the rest is on you..." The man had a slew of questions he blurted out, but now the raven's voice were only avian caws. This was the last time the man heard the bird talk.

"'Kota,' that is my name?" he muses a moment before looking around his surroundings. All he could find was a sword, white as snow, but as soon as he grasped the handle, the blade turned pitch black. This startled Kota at first, but something about the weapon seemed comforting. The way it rested in his palm seemed only natural, as if it were made for him. With his new treasure in hand, Kota looked around again in hopes of finding something familiar. When nothing came to him, he closed his eyes in thought. It was then a gentle breeze blew by and Kota had an epiphany. He had no destination, he was as free as the wind itself, and so he followed the breeze wherever it led him.

For years, Kota followed the wind and in his journeys cultivated his skills and became something of folk legend as a man who appears and disappears with the wind. It is true, though, as aside from the raven, the wind was Kota's only companion. He spent so long listening to her melody that he finally began hearing her words, and in hearing her song, he learned her name. With the name of the wind, Kota learned to call her forth and thus he mastered wind magic.

In his travels, Kota one day encountered Aka and her pirate crew. Kota was taken in by the crew's antics and their shared love of freedom enticed him further. It was then that Kota decided to continue his journey alongside the pirate crew.

And that is where he is today, traveling the globe with his new family. Until the day when the wind calls him away, there he will stay, plundering lost treasure, fighting the occasional brawl, and romancing port beauties...

Other facts:

- Kota has amnesia. He has no memories of his life before waking up in the forest with the raven, but flashes of them do come occasionally when his eyes are gold. What he's seen, though, he'd rather not say.

- Kota's raven is named Yatagarasu. Yatagarasu can talk, but Kota has lost the ability to understand what he says.

- Kota was not born an elf, instead it's insinuated that he was created that way by Yatagarasu after some horrific event.

- Kota's sword is made of an unknown steel, but has similar characteristics to damascus steel. It also changes color based off the color of the wielder's aura.

Relationships with Canon Characters:

Aka/Dementia- The arch demon sisters are Kota's trusted friends. He enjoys Aka's upbeat antics and competing with Dementia in a friendly rivalry.

Onyx/Sephira- Kota's best friends within the pirate crew. He can often be seen hanging out or charging into battle along the adventurous Onyx and the two often play wingman to each other whenever meeting ladies in town. Onyx has taught Kota quite a bit about the subtleties of charm and etiquette and is just plan fun to be around. Kota has learned learn quite a lot of... "things" from Sephira. Kota loves learning, and he's found that Sephiria has a lot to teach, and they all feel good. These two have had the largest influence on Kota's development lately.

Rougalo- The copper fairy confuses Kota. He doesn't understand Rougalo's self-loathing, thinking that the young man only diminishes his own freedom and potential by emotionally debilitating himself. He sees Rougalo's alcoholism and smoking as a physical manifestation of his self-bondage and tries to get him to stop, but is confused when Rougalo refuses. Kota has since decided to stop trying to help someone so self-destructive and has since left him alone.

Akita/Miel/Rouge- Kota's a sucker for a pretty face and enjoys hitting on these ladies from time-to-time. His passes will never go past casual flirtation, though, as he knows he'd never have a real chance with any of them. Akita has eyes for someone else, Miel isn't interested in romance, and Rouge's so caught up in maintaining her secrets that she leaves Kota little to learn, and so he loses interest.
