This her Demon Slayer OC, Miki Mizuki, and her pet birb.

Holy crap, a lot went into this piece. With each new part I completed, it only fueled my excitement to do more with the next, so even now that it's "complete," I still feel like I can tinker more with it.
What struck me about the character when Spuky sent me the reference was that, even with how cute she was, but she was still a warrior. To capitalize on this, I sketched several poses to try to get can "action" feeling (the top five I uploaded into my scraps folder at this link ).
After that, it was a lot of switching between photoshop and illustrator for different aspects and trying to unify it all together into this final piece. Overall, this drawing was a wonderful challenge in both a traditional and multi-media sense!
To say I had fun with this project is an understatement. Thanks, Spuky, for sending me this challenge!
