Description (note- Billy 'Corgan' typo in the pic. Will be fixed one day)

New RP character.

Name: Amler O’Reily.

Age: 19.

Gender: Female.

Height: 6’0” / 182cm

Weight: 125lbs /56kgs

Appearance: There is a picture, but who doesn’t like words? Tall for her gender, and skinny as a meerkat. Amler has short, messy hair (the dyed black variety); incredibly pale skin, and a blue facepaint design across the right side of her face that gets applied to often it’s probably stained onto her skin. Her eye colour is naturally brown, but she developed a liking for beady blue and white contacts a few years ago, so you’d never know. Although one would assume ‘cigarette’ belongs nowhere on an appearance rundown, Amler’s love affair with the sin-sticks sees one regularly planted in between either her lips or fingers. Tight, multi-layered T-shirts are her preferred attire, torso wise; usually sporting self-designed logos. In her opinion, massively baggy black pants should never have gone out of fashion. Sure, they’re annoying to wash but so bloody powerful a sensation to have wrapped around your legs… and under them, nobody knows how high the Doc Martens are.

Personality: A sufferer of an acute schizophrenia… it’s ironic really, since she, at first glance, seems so quiet, you’d never guess there were so many loud, insane voices fighting inside that tall but tiny frame of hers. Amler is a girl who tries to avoid speaking for however long she can manage to. When she does speak, it’s almost definitely something wise and thoughtful, slipped softly from her lips and their strong (and surprisingly not unattractive) cigarette scent. She somehow manages to keep a serious and mature outlook on situations despite the crazed, unsettling voices in her head. Although, those who stay around her for long enough will note that her quiet nature will be pushed out of sight when she falls into an argument or battle of words.

Strengths: Highly skilled in the art of verbal warfare. When Amler needs to use her words to their deadliest, she does so with the purest ease. Painfully facetious and a well honed cynic, she can argue and debate among the best of them. It’s often a surprise for many, to hear someone speak so little at first but then be so talented (and intellectually aggressive) with words.

Weaknesses: …although when she is not in complete control of a situation, her mind will often grasp the better of her. When she means to imagine snow, her imagination can often lead her off on tangents towards anything from personified lamingtons with dandruff to the potential beautiful simplicity of a winters murder. For this reason, she must always think diligently about her words. This, unfortunately, is never always possible during situations of the direst pressure.

Bio/History: Delivered cesarean. Her mother passed away when Amler was only two months old. Coroner’s report confirmed it as suicide. Raised predominantly by her father and her uncle from her mothers side, she was raised in a mostly male environment. Her father and uncle never failed to paint her mothers image as a beautiful, cheerful woman. Amler rarely kept friends for very long at school, and eventually began to appreciate her own lonesome ways, as opposed to looking for acceptance with her peers. As she grew into her teen years, she began to get lost in her (somewhat voluntary) isolation at school, she would, without noticing, host conversations with herself in her mind. She’d assign different characters for different moods and have the most enjoyable discussions. Her conversations with her depression always seemed to last the longest. When she was around about the age of fifteen, her father gradually became more honest about her mothers state, as the commonly depressed and slightly insane woman… one who, unbeknownst to her father, Amler could definitely relate to more (although she tried so hard to keep her head-conversations from her father and uncle). As she grew older, she was happy (for want of a better term) that she received little to no attention from her peers. When people looked at her, they thought only one of either- that girl - no friends - she smokes - rarely talks - I think I know someone who knows someone who may be in her math class- if anything at all. When she was sixteen, she found a passion for the school’s debate team, a surprise for many of her peers and teachers, who would rarely hear Amler string more than two sentences together within the space of a single class. With her input, the debate team became one of the more successful elements of the school, which eventually led to Amler becoming noticed more easily among her classmates, and even slightly popular. Hell from heaven, it seemed- she loved the thrill of debate, but all the attention that came with it made her uncomfortable, and her mind would ramble off on its own little tangents so often whenever she wasn’t alone, it was beginning to scare her, being around people. Eventually, though, the voices weren’t just there when the crowds were… they somehow spread into her peaceful, lonesome thoughts as well. And they grew louder. They weren’t there for conversation like they used to be. Amler would ignore them all she could, but they would just keep talking to her. Telling her things she knew had to be lies… but could never be sure. When she was seventeen, she began wearing what she figured was a way to both please herself creatively and hopefully drive away her unwanted popularity- blue facepaint across the right side of her pale, white face. It didn’t have the exact effect she was looking for (she became more noticeable, and not nearly as ostracised as she had hoped)… but she decided she liked the look enough to stick with it, and has worn it ever since. Either way, her head-voices continued to grow more and more vocal. Perhaps it was just the environment she was in, though. It was this theory that inspired her to pack her bags and leave the home her father had raised her in, less than a week after graduating from school. She had set out onto the road with no real idea of where she was heading… and unfortunately for her, she was wrong… because the voices came with her. She has spent her time since then travelling from place to place… sometimes staying a month, other times staying less than a night.
