Kira joined the Black Order in a time gap ~after~ the Phantom Thief G Arc (Timothy Hearst arrival) and ~before~ the Party & Party chapter (Night 187) where the Earl gathers the rest of the Noah Family, minus Wrath. Because of this, she never had a first version exorcist uniform or second version exorcist uniform. Only the third. But I decided to mess around and see what she'd look like in the first and/or second anyway.

Tbh I'm not really satisfied with what I gave her. It still feels off a little from what I had in my head. But oh well xD Not like it's for reals or anything.

On a side note: Kira's hairstyle changed from the ragged, cut by scissors look to her current style WHEN she joined the Order. Jeryy started styling her hair, just like he had/does with Lenalee (I don't have the link to the canon reference for this on me, but I believe it was in a fanbook). So I didn't bother giving her a different hairstyle here, aside from having her keeping it more often in the low ponytail.

Anyway, in my escapades to find references for the first uniform, I found some interesting points to think about while designing Kira's version:

The first exorcist uniform looked the most church-y out of all the uniforms, and Hoshino describes the first uniform as "church clothing" (reference here )
She may have been referring to Black Order/Church clothing? But she used the word "church" specifically so whatevs yay language barriers. Anyway, I'm in an Episcapaleon choir, so I did notice initially how the first uniform has some similar aspects to what the vestry would wear. In that regard, I covered up Kira more rather than showing more skin. Theoretically, if she did join the Order at the beginning, her sync rate would've risen at more of a slow crawl (less chaos going on) so she still doesn't know much about how to fight with Afe'la Ohr yet, let alone need more surface access anyway to her Parasitic Innocence (her epidermal layer of skin). She'd probs be fighting more off body armour and a weaker form of Light Cannon (bottom fullbody).
Lenalee's uniform, unlike the boys', did not have buttons down the front (refer to reference above). This is the same with Klaud's first uniform (reference here and here )
Not to say that the female exorcist's first uniform can't have buttons . . . but I leaned more towards that theory anyway since Lenalee and Klaud are the only real examples. Miranda doesn't make an appearance with the first uniform, only the second , so we've only got two character references to work off of.
Dat popped collar; a lot of the boys had them, like Allen , Kanda , and Cross ; but Lavi didn't, presumably to leave room for his scarf, and neither did Bookman . Marie also had a different collar thing and Daisya had a hood . (note: Allen's collar is later replaced with a hood starting and continuing after Krory's arc, as you can see here ).
Initially I thought that collar styles might be limited to genders for some weird ass reason, but seeing as how many variations the boys' collars had, I chucked out that idea even with Lenalee and Klaud's being pretty much the same, lol. I wanted to give Kira something similar to the large collar, especially since she actually didn't like the turtleneck of the third uniform initially. So I integrated that idea here as well. Anyway, them collar things are hard as mess to draw large, so Kira ended up with a smaller version, almost an inbetweeni of the boy's large collar and the girls' smaller collar xD Her's also has the markings that Lenalee's collar had rather than the boys'. I personally wanted to give her a hood, but I think she's grown outta them since she wore one most of her younger life to hide her skin disease.
Coattails! A majority of the exorcists definitely had 'em (I've linked enough okay y'all can look for that on your own /shot). Hell, I think Lenalee was the only one without one, but she sorta got one with that overcoat she wore anyway here . To be honest I have a theory that Hoshino just loved drawing them so much she gave them all coattails one way or another LOL.
Initially she didn't have one, but I couldn't not give Kira a coattail aha. It just didn't look right for a first uniform without something like it. Unlike the boys' though, her coattail isn't a part of her jacket; it's a separate piece that's added to the belt.

So ya there's all the fun overly-done research I derped on.

For those of y'all who like to use Kira's reference as a reference for exorcist uniform details, don't fear, my new DGM OC's reference will give all the details for the first uniform (back/front view, drawn out details, etc) just like I do with Kira's reference and her third uniform. Can't promise when my new OC's ref will be finished tho lol. I still have to design her second uniform ahhhh so much work sob sob.
