Hollywood Undead - NO.5 and CaliforniaEdit: Just realized I gave Setesh too much braid and too little bangs oh welp;
The end of semesters always kick my ass, and this one has been no different. As things are right now, I'm unhappy and doubtful with how my grades might turn out, and it's affected my mental health and activity online. But oh welp. It won't last forever, just gotta ride it out and hopefully learn from it :'>
Couldn't seem to get regular digital to work with me, but have some smug ass pixel punks for now *sparkles* This is them as brats though, probs found a good stretch of wall and decided to practice their names on it.
I've been really excited with the reception Setesh and Anurabis received, so def expect more art and info on them to come ;v;/

I was trying to figure out how to get a bg in there, and then I remembered we went through all that research to get their hieroglyphic names anyway, so bam 8D
I totes pixelled Setesh first then flipped the image and altered Anurabis form just ever so slightly /shot ((also made him sliiiightly taller, if that's noticeable xD)). I'm really glad that comes across though <3

I was so obsessed with ancient Egypt when I was in kindergarten ;o; Then recently in college we had a section on it for our Humanities courses and amfg it's just taking over my life xDD

ANCIENT HISTORY KIN
I believe my ancient history obsession interests started with a really big book about pirates. I thought it was really cool, and one thing lead to another, mix in some Indiana Jones, and viola, I was reading anything I could on ancient history. Egyptian culture has always been my favorite, but Central and South American ancient cultures, like the Maya and the Inca, are really cool too, and I've become interested in Medieval Europe as well.

Oh gosh, that's really neat 8D My high school best friend is actually from Peru and her ancestors were Incan xD I don't know as much about them though, for me I strayed more towards Greek and Roman l'D I've taken a lot of Classics classes in college because of it, as well as Intermediate Latin xD When I learned about the Greeks taking over Egypt tho, that Egypt love flooded all over again ;v;

I've always liked pirates, even if they are technically highly wanted and dangerous criminals lol. That's really cool! I don't know much about the Inca as much as I'd like, but I do admire their engineering. The Greeks and Romans were pretty cool as well when it comes to how much they influenced the western world, but Egypt is really where it all started and where my heart lies. But I'm a sucker for the Victorian Era haha

I think the modern pirates versus the historical pirates is an interesting comparison too since, if I'm not mistaken, historical pirates often targeted supply and food ships more than gold-wielding ships? Kinda hard to buy stuff at ports with money that's known to be stolen, anyway xD
Mhm, the Greeks were angst drama queens, the Romans were arrogant and prideful bullies *sparkles* Very true though! Ancient Egypt is incredible in how far back it goes - not to mention how damn long it lasted 8D

Disney didn't do their research Actually, classic pirates (e.g Blackbeard) usually attacked trading ships, since they were slow, poorly armed, and carried lots of important goodies, like medicine, food, water, and expensive goods. They usually could sell it at foreign ports, since it was hard to tell that the goods were stolen, since pirates looked like normal sailors.

Yeah, it is kind of funny to see all these romanticized pirates going off and having adventure and getting treasure out of nowhere and know that the only accurate representation of them in modern culture is in Assassin's Creed: Black Flag.
