very nice.
With all the pictures that were inspired by Armada 2, I would like to immediately search the good old CD and play again. In the good old times there were still cool Si-Fi strategy games and not as today only fantasy or history as theme.
I just realize that I seem to be old enough to say that in the past everything was better.

Hehehehe, some people would say that about the past indeed... but I if you manage to get the CD, I would recommend you to go download "Fleet Operations" because it will upgrade the game's engines (still remarkable that team got the permissions), and there is a mod were you can play "Armada 2 Classic" with the new engine for smoother gameplay

Oh, I still have the game. The CDs of my old games are always close at hand, right next to my desk. It's just that a lot of CDs have accumulated over the years. And I would have to arrange them correctly again.
And right now I am busy with Freelance anyway. Still the best Openworld SiFi game ever. Luckily, there are still a few sites that have the mods for the game.

The virtual copy is a very good idea. Fortunately, all CDs still work without problems.
Yes, I meant mods for Freelancers. 10 or 15 are still available. Some are even relatively new, two or three years old. And this for a game that is 15 years old. Unfortunately, there is hardly a game since that is even rudimentary so good.
In general, games in Sci-Fi area are very rare. I mean Openworld Sci-Fi games.
But you can get fantasy games without end. Awful.
Fortunately, there are a few small, independent studios that still publish good sci-fi games.

If kept in the right conditions? Then yes.
Armada2 is rather old too, barely newer if any, than Freelancers. And there is the problem of webpages closing and some mods been lost.
