Description
I do not work for Blizzard or own any of the assets shown. Everything in this image belongs to Blizzard Entertainment. Most of the custom models I make can be found at SC2mapster.com in the assets section.Staying in the fashion of creating unreleased SC1 units with a little SC2 style here is the Dragoon. It doesn't use Immortal animations which a lot of people would expect. I prefer the Stalker as the base unit even though it deviates from the SC1 design.

Β Hi GhostNova. I like your models and I used them in my custom maps. I hope you release more models you made like the Dragoon model of yours.

I wish in Legacy of the Void, Dragoons come back and can morph into Inmortals, like the Mothership Core into a MothershipΒ

Luckily, dragoons do appear in the LotV campaign.

Or have both 'Goons and Immortals be an option in the Campaign (because LotV is only adding three units) and you can choose which you're going to have as your heavy unit option.

Now that the zerg arent a threat to the protoss (at least I hope so) cant they have there home world back and make dragoons again?

No, unfortunately. Aiur is still plagued by a huge amount of Zerg, probably too much to make a ground battle worth the cost.

Fun Fact! The reason the Dragoon normally uses the Immortal animations is because Immortals are actually just re-fitted Dragoons. According to unit lore, the technology to make Dragoons was lost, so they were armed with the Heavy Disruptors and Hardened Plasma Shields to add to their longevity; thus, the Immortal we know now was created.

While I do love this piece of information with the Dragoon being so important they needed to increase longevity I prefer the Dragoon on Stalker animations to make it more aggressive. That's why I based it on a Stalker.
There is a model somewhere on mapster of an Immortal based Dragoon as well. I love them all though

The dragoon HAS to make a comeback in LotV with its "I have returned" quote.

That quote rivals "battlecruiser operational" in my eyes.

I prefer this model over the one used for the Mass Recall mod. Can't praise it enough!

Thanks! I love the original but I felt like to fit SC2 style they needed to be done after the Stalker.

Fun fact: The "Immortal" exoskeleton in Starcraft 2 is actually a replacement for the old Dragoon one, which was lost during the fall of Aiur when the shrine dedicated to Dragoon creation was infested by the zerg.
