Description
I found a new show to obsess over! It is called Milo Murphy's Law, on Disney XD. It's by the creators of Phineas and Ferb and the main character is voiced by Weird Al. It's about the descendant of the creator of Murphy's Law, the old adage: 'Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong.' And it is a life fact with the kid.But this guy, Vinnie Dakota, is part of a continuous side plot. He is one of two time travelers sent from the future to keep pistachios from going extinct. Despite his rather blase attitude he is surprisingly loyal. He has created an entire island civilization of time duplicates of himself from going back in time and saving his pardner.

Oh man, I can't believe I just now saw this! (I try to keep up with your uploads pretty closely) I've been watching Milo too and I'm also obsessed with it by now, ha! PnF is my favorite cartoon ever so it's been fun to see a new show with a lot of the same humor and love for music, I think. I'm totally loving it.
Anyway this looks great! I love how you painted his hair. Dakota's my favorite character in this show... I'm always a sucker for characters who are extremely loyal. ^^

I have watched all of both shows by now! I absolutely love them both. Milo is such a fun wacky and hilarious show! Dakota is so far my fave as well. The Island of Lost Dakotas did it for me.

Yesss that's the episode that really did it for me as well. I wasn't expecting the writers to put something that heavy into the show all of a sudden, but with Dakota everything is played for laughs anyhow... I'm interested to see the concept of the island revisited in a later season. Does the boss know about it? Is there an island of lost Cavendishes somewhere? Only time will tell, haha.

It's a super great show! I don't blame you. Although it doesn't seem to have the hype Phinaes and Ferb did. I'm not seeing Deogee t shirts everywhere. Sadly I missed the P&F craze. I was actually kind of annoyed by it. I couldn't STAND the character designs I was seeing on every possible product. And then my friend made me actually watch one.....then I wished I had watched it at its peak.
I'd like Cavendish to find out about it someday.

Yeah, I don't know what's different this time. It may just take time for Milo to get bigger since it's only had one season so far, or maybe it's just less advertising this time around. Ha, it's hard to beat how marketable Perry was. I used to get annoyed that Perry was on everything (even though I adore Perry) because he's not even the main plot of the show, haha. I can see how you'd get sick of seeing these brightly-colored, geometric children everywhere! I wish I'd known how much I'd love the show and for how long - now I've grown out of all my PnF t shirts except one and it's really hard to get them now since there aren't any new ones in store. Oh well. Luckily I still have figurines and things.

Oh, man! Perry was EVERYWHERE!
Heh. Yep. That was it. The character designs just....bothered me. Just one of those silly pet peeves. Especially Phineas. Of course once I saw how much fun the show was I was able to get over that.
Oh, I totally would have bought out the merchandise had I been watching at the time. I think I started in when they were doing reruns after the show was over. Recently over, I think, but over.

Yeah, I wish I remembered my first encounter with PnF. I started watching it pretty much immediately after it came out but I feel like Phineas' head would have bugged me too haha so I don't know why I decided to watch the show. I do recall my Dad flipping channels one day and he switched to the episode where Doofenshmirtz is apologizing to Perry and he says "I promise to hurt you in the right way with cartoonish physical violence..." and my Dad was totally weirded out, but after we got into the show that scene because one of my Dad's favorite scenes ever, ha.
Yeah, it only ended about 2 years ago so I guess you're in the afterwave of it. But since there's the crossover with Milo in the Spring, who knows, maybe some of the merch will come back?

He is! He's got this really great, kind of monotone New York accent.
It is a lot of fun. I mean it's just a silly kids show. But it's a pretty clever one. And so far I've been enjoying it. Most episodes have a catchy song.

I've watched quite a few more since drawing this and I like it even better. There is a surpringly intense story arc in the second season. Lots of time travel and....um...pistachio monsters.

Um...No. They are just into the whole, replacing the entire human race with themselves in rubber human masks. There are a surprising amount of sci fi references.

I didn't catch any Star Trek, but it's entirely possible. There are oodles of Dr. Who references (there is actually a show that the characters watch called Dr. Zone that is TOTALLY a spoof on the old Dr. Who) and several Back to the Future ones. Oh, wait! There is at least one Trek Reference. They are waiting in line to see the newest Dr. Zone movie and everyone is dressed up all geekafied...you know, like Trekkies, and one of the main characters stands up to give an inspirational speech and says "lend me your ears!" And the dude standing next to her takes of this pair of pointy and very Vulcan ears and hands them to her.

I’m not surprised that there’s BTTF references. I still need to see Dr. Who. I keep hearing about it, friends who like it, but I’m not sure where I could see it, if on the web or something, or where to start, cuz I guess it’s been on since the 60’s, huh?

I am a....cautious Dr. Who fan. There are some GREAT episodes and I really like the Doctor himself. But there are certainly some episodes that venture a little too far into the creepy factor that I would steer clear of.
